“Enhancing Movement Skills and Sensory Development in Infants and Toddlers: A Portfolio of Resources” “Exploring the Benefits and Limitations of Sensory Scarves for Infants and Toddlers: A Developmental Perspective”

PLEASE USE AUSTRALIAN REFERENCES AND SPELLING
    The original assignment instructions:
Your portfolio will contain three separate items that will relate to each of the themes within Weeks 5–7, as specified in the following table:
    Portfolio B item mapping
    Item no. Theme Resource
    1.
    Movement skills
    2.
    Rhythmic and expressive movement
    3.
    Games and adventurous play
As shown in the table, you will only need one resource for each theme. Each resource should be clearly labelled for marking purposes with the name and description and targeted age groups (0–2, 3–5, and 6–8). Each resource must cater for one age group and theme/topic area. For example, you may design movement skills for 3–5 and games and adventurous play for 5–8. Your portfolio must include the following:
a brief description of the resource
evidence of the resource (not included in the word count), such as equipment, photograph, document (e.g. MS Word) or URL (if from an external source)
describe and evaluate your reasoning for choosing the resource, including an explanation of the following:
learning environment—how you are going to set up the environment
why is this theme important, and how does it impact teaching and learning?
what are the objectives of using this resource with links to the EYLF learning outcomes, curriculum and theory?
how will this resource be used in physical education, providing evidence of knowledge and understanding of pedagogy, tools, methods and other resources—consider different inclusive teaching strategies you may use, any links to practice you have, or reflections from placement experiences
a brief analysis of the benefits and limitations of the resource. You might like to refer to the concepts of risk and safety, including reasonable risk-taking.
Each of your portfolio items must be fully referenced in APA style. Note that references are not included in the word limit.
Your portfolio should be submitted as a Word document. Each item must be clearly labelled within this document with the name and description. You may use the structure guide provided in the Supporting resources section.
    PLEASE REWRITE THE FOLLOWING:
    **Resource 1: Sensory Scarves**
**Brief Description:** Sensory scarves are a versatile and
stimulating activity designed to engage infants and toddlers in movement
exploration. Soft, colorful scarves are used to encourage sensory exploration,
gross motor development, and visual tracking skills.
    **Targeted Age Group:** 0–2
**Reasoning for Choosing the Resource:** Infants and
toddlers are in a critical stage of physical development, where sensory
experiences play a crucial role. Sensory scarves provide a safe and enriching
environment for them to explore movement, textures, and colors, fostering early
    motor skills and sensory development.
**Learning Environment:** The sensory scarf activity can
take place in a cozy and safe space, such as a padded play area or a designated
infant/toddler room. Soft mats or blankets can be laid out to provide a
comfortable surface for babies to explore.
**Importance and Impact:** Movement experiences in infancy
and early childhood lay the foundation for future physical development. Sensory
scarves offer a multisensory approach to movement exploration, promoting body
awareness, visual tracking, and hand-eye coordination in young children.
    **Objectives and EYLF Learning Outcomes:**
    – **EYLF Learning Outcome:** Infants and toddlers develop a
sense of trust and security through sensory exploration and responsive
    interactions.
    – **Curriculum Links:** This activity aligns with the Early
Years Learning Framework by promoting sensory development and responsive
    caregiving practices.
    – **Theory Links:** According to Jean Piaget’s theory of
cognitive development, infants learn through sensorimotor exploration and
repetitive actions. Sensory scarves provide opportunities for infants to engage
in sensorimotor play and learn about cause and effect.
**Pedagogical Approach:** Inclusive teaching strategies for
sensory scarves may include providing a variety of textures and sizes of
scarves to accommodate different sensory preferences and developmental stages.
Caregivers can also offer gentle guidance and encouragement to support infants’
    exploration.
    **Benefits:**
    – Stimulates sensory exploration and visual tracking.
    – Encourages gross motor movement and coordination.
    – Fosters caregiver-infant bonding and responsive
    interactions.
    **Limitations:**
    – Requires close supervision to ensure safety, especially
    with small objects like scarves.
    – Some infants may have sensory sensitivities to certain
    textures or colors.
    – Limited variety in movement experiences compared to older
    age groups.
    **Evidence:**
*Photograph of infants exploring sensory scarves in a
supervised play area (not included in word count).*

By providing infants and toddlers with enriching movement
experiences through activities like sensory scarves, caregivers can support
their physical, cognitive, and emotional development during this crucial stage
    of life.

Evaluating and Advancing the SMCCD Sustainability Program “Sustainability at SMCCD: Evaluating Our Progress and Taking Action for a Greener Future” Thesis Statement: While SMCCD has made significant efforts towards sustainability, there is still room for improvement in terms of reducing our carbon footprint and

We have been reading The Story of More by Hope Jahren, a book that outlines the consequences of industrialization and consumerism and urges us to write and enact a “story of less” in our personal and public lives. In our third and final unit, you will further investigate one of the San Mateo Community College District’s sustainability programs, analyze and evaluate different sources on your topic, and write a paper explaining and evaluating this program and giving advice about what additional action is needed and why. You’ll also create a “One-Pager” to summarize your work. Parts of Your Project Part 1: In preparation for parts 1 and 2, write an annotated bibliography explaining the relevance of 3 sources about your topic. One of your sources should be a relevant page from the SMCCD Sustainability website (https://sites.google.com/my.smccd.edu/smcccdsustainability/home?authuser=0), and the other two should be sources that you find through the CSM Library. (https://collegeofsanmateo.edu/library/) Part 2: In a well-developed and clearly organized essay, explain and evaluate built environment sustainability programs, based on their website (https://sites.google.com/my.smccd.edu/smcccdsustainability/about/meet-the-team?authuser=0) You will introduce the program, describe the problem(s) it aims to solve, evaluate its real and/or potential effectiveness, and suggest further steps you think are necessary for an effective program. Part 3: Create a “one-pager” – a visually engaging one-page summary of your work in part 2 with the SMCCD sustainability team in mind as an audience. Requirements and Tips for Success in Part 1, the Annotated Bibliography As you research, you will write an annotated bibliography entry for each source. One of your sources should be part of the SMCCD Sustainability website (https://sites.google.com/my.smccd.edu/smcccdsustainability/home?authuser=0), and the others should include at least one source that is NOT a website (e.g. a news article, a scholarly journal article, a video, or a book). You should also use different sources from the others in your group. This will give you more ideas for sources for your paper. You can (and should!) use more than three sources for your paper, listing all of them in your Works Cited, but only three annotated bibliography entries are required. Each entry should be structured as follows: 1. A full MLA citation and a link to the source (if available) – If you want help citing your source, visit the CSM Library Citation Page (https://libguides.collegeofsanmateo.edu/mla) for guidelines and to access NoodleTools, a citation generator. 2. A paragraph with a brief summary of the source and an evaluation of the source: The summary (3-5 sentences) – The first sentence should be a citation sentence and include the main idea of the whole article. – Summarize the information that relates to your topic. – Don’t repeat information you have included in a different summary; the source should add new information to your project. – Be concise! Follow the guidelines for an effective summary. The evaluation (3-5 sentences) – First, evaluate the quality of the source. – Mention the type of source and explain how it does or does not meet the criteria in the CRAAP test. – Consider commenting on the accessibility of the source’s language, layout etc; you may also mention whether or not you recommend it to another ESL 400 student and why. – Next, describe how the content of the source adds to your project. – What important evidence does it add that other sources don’t have? – How will that evidence complement the other information you have already found? – How will that engage, inform, or persuade readers? “Analyzing Risk Management: A Case Study on the Success or Failure of Corporate or Government Responses to Historical Events”

CASE STUDY: FINAL ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS OVERVIEW
This is not technically a “case study.” This is a general E.S.S.A.Y on the mechanics and function of risk management. A case study is particularized. Here, the assignment instructions call for a case study on an historical event (REAL). An historical event might look something like “Acme Corp. failed to properly execute its risk management protocols in response to XYZ event.”
The student will write a research-based “writing assistance” (P.A.P.E.R) analyzing a corporate or government risk management response of at least 10 pages in Bluebook format. The Case Study is the student’s opportunity to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of risk management principles. The student must choose a past corporate or government risk event and analyze the success or failure of the risk management program. The Case Study must be 10 pages of text, not including the title page and bibliography, using current Bluebook format. Use the Case Study Guide on the next page to develop your paper. The Case Study must include the following sections: Introduction and Thesis Statement (1 page or less), Risk Event (2-3 pages), Risk Mitigation (2-3 pages), Anaylsis (4-5 pages), and Conclusion (1 page or less). The focus of the Case Study is the student’s analysis. Frame your paper so that the focal point is your examination of what went wrong, or why the particular risk management program succeeded in mitigating or avoiding the impact of the risk. Argue for change, make a compelling argument for government regulation, make a compelling argument for deregulation, or persuade industry leaders to adopt different methods. Do not limit your research to catastrophes, disasters, and other risk management failures. Consider writing a case study on a strategy that successfully mitigated risk (REAL). Also contemplate the difference between government and corporate approaches to risk management. As these instructions are being drafted, governments around the world are implementing protocols to mitigate the risk of COVID-19. Your P.A.P.E.R must be written in 12-point, Times New Roman font with 1-inch margins. It must include a title page, page numbers, and a Bibliography. You must use a minimum of 15 scholarly sources in addition to the course textbook and assigned readings. You are not required to cite the textbook or assigned readings. You must submit the P.A.P.E.R as a Microsoft Word file. Proper spelling, grammar, and sentence structure is expected. Short, choppy sentences are NOT acceptable. This is a graduate level course, and deductions will be made accordingly. You must not use personal pronouns (I, me, we, us, our, etc.), and the standards of academic writing must be applied. INSTRUCTIONS  The student will write 10 pages.  The assignment must be in current Bluebook format.  The assignment must include citations to at least 15 scholarly sources in Bluebook format.  Your E.S.S.A.Y must be written in 12-point, Times New Roman font with 1-inch margins. You are not required to cite the textbook or assigned readings. You must submit the P.A.P.E.R as a Microsoft Word file.
DO NOT USE AI. YOU MUST PROVIDE A TURNITIN AI REPORT.
