This research project culminates in the submission of a research paper, presented in APA 7th edition format. Each student must submit their own paper to Canvas (convert from Word to PDF before submitting to preserve your formatting).
Within the paper, there are several sections which are written and graded as a group. These group elements contribute 40% of the assignment grade and are the:
– Abstract
– Method
– Results
The individual sections contribute 60% of the assignment grade and are the:
– Title page
– Introduction
– Discussion – References The group sections are expected to be the same between group members. However, the individual portions are to be written individually and should not be the same between group members. Checklist

Are the statistical analyses and alpha level clearly stated in a Data Analysis section?

Design
Does the design effectively test the hypothesis? Were efforts made to control for extraneous variables (this should be made abundantly clear in the Method section)?

Are the data well organized (in the Excel Portfolio)?
Was the correct analysis performed for the descriptive and inferential statistics?

Results
Are the results organized around testing the hypothesis?
Is there a text section which highlights the findings of the study through descriptive and inferential statistics and refers to tables/charts/figures?
Is there a table/chart/figure which is appropriately formatted and supports the text?

Are the purpose/hypothesis of the study restated at the start of the section?
Are the key results of the current study as they relate to the hypothesis discussed? Are there references to previous studies/findings (with in-text citations) when discussing the findings of the current study?
Are limitations of the current study and suggestions for future research clearly presented?
Are implications of the findings clearly presented?
