As
a counselor, you will regularly use professional literature to inform
your work. Many of the important questions that you will have as your
career evolves will be answered by researchers conducting quantitative
studies. The quantitative designs help generate the knowledge base that
becomes the evidence behind our best practices. 
For this assignment, you will create a mini research proposal for a
quantitative study. As you work through the activities relevant to
quantitative research concepts, think through a possible quantitative
study. Your work on this assignment will demonstrate that you understand
the importance of the alignment of the elements of a study and how they
work together.
Preparation
In preparation for this assignment, think about a problem in
counseling practice that could be researched using a quantitative
approach. Then, find three recent empirical sources that support your
study of the problem. You may also wish to find a non-empirical source.

Instructions and Grading Criteria
Create a mini research proposal that addresses the problem you identified, using the Week 6 Assignment Template [DOCX].
Your proposal must include the elements listed below each numbered
grading criterion, so be sure to address each point. You may also want
to review the performance-level descriptions for each criterion in the
assignment rubric to see how your work will be assessed. 
Synthesize scholarly literature that supports the study of a research problem.  
Write a mini literature review of three recent empirical sources (required) and one non-empirical source (optional).
Create a quantitative research question that is aligned to a research problem.  
This specific question should be written in a way that it could be
answered through quantitative data; this is the main question that will
be answered by the proposed study. Identify any independent and
dependent variables.
Describe a research design for a quantitative study.
Describe the research design for the proposed study.
Choose from correlational, experimental, quasi-experimental, time-series, and survey.
Provide a rationale as to why this particular design is a good fit for your study.
Describe an appropriate sampling strategy for a quantitative study.
Describe your proposed sampling strategy, including the population
from which the sample would come and how many participants you would
include.
Detail data collection strategies and measurement instruments that address a research question.
Identify data collection strategies that you would use in your study and describe any instruments that you would use.
Explain how you would collect the quantitative data that would answer your research question.
Explain a quantitative data analysis strategy that aligns to the research problem.
Explain how you would analyze the data that you collected based upon
your research question and type of data that will be collected.
Describe ethical and cultural concerns in the proposed research study.
Describe at least one ethical and at least one cultural concern that may be present in the proposed study.
Describe how mixed methods might be applied to address the research problem.
Describe how the problem that you investigated might be addressed by using a mixed-methods approach.
Explain whether you believe that would be a stronger approach or not, in this particular situation.
Communicate effectively in appropriate form and style, using APA guidelines for grammar, punctuation, and mechanics

My assignment is to write a color-coded annotated bibliography using academic journals from gales opposing views. 
Each entry in the bibliography consist of a MLA format citation, followed by three paragraphs of evaluation. The assignment requires a reference citation, and I need five total for this assignment

Assume you are a dissertation chair. You have a student who has come to you with a problem space and is struggling with choosing the methodology for the study. How would you explain to this person the relative strengths and shortcomings of quantitative and qualitative methodologies? How would you explain the comparative advantages and disadvantages of each methodology in terms of design components including sampling strategies, methods of data collection, and data analysis approaches? Support your view with authoritative resources on research methodology.
Question 2 (250 words)
In the assignment due in this topic, you will need to offer a defense of several components of our prospectus. In preparation, state the latest version of your proposed problem statement based on refinements made throughout this course. What, if any, changes took place regarding your proposed problem statement? Why were these changes made? What methodology have you selected at this point based on your proposed problem statement? Why? (Remember, the need or lack of need for numbers or statistics is not the sole justification for selection of a methodology.) What concepts did you learn in this class that strengthened your decision to use one methodology and not the other? Support your rationale with authoritative resources on research methodology.

Each summary should provide a through examination of the purpose of the study, research question(s), methodology, results, and conclusion. You should also provide a brief critical evaluation of the paper. Please refer to the resources below for a worksheet (this gives you guidelines as to what to discuss), tips for reading journal articles, and an example.
The reference must be formatted in full APA style. The summaries should be IN YOUR OWN WORDS.
Absolutely no quotes should be used. Remember, this is a summary; you should not be providing a lot of detail but rather synthesizing what the authors did. 
A special note: Reading journal articles is hard. They are designed for an audience that knows something about the topic or methods. As new psychology students, you don’t have that knowledge (that is why you are in school!). So be sure to allow plenty of time to read and understand each paper. Only when you understand the paper will you be able to summarize the paper. Don’t get discouraged; every psychologist started precisely where you are now. The only way to get better at reading empirical journal articles is to practice.
A quality summary will be well formatted, comprehensive, free of spelling/grammar errors, and
accurate. Your summary should be no longer than 2 pages. 
Logistics:
Typed, double-spaced, with one-inch margins on the top, sides, and bottom. Left justify (line up on the left side), and do not justify on the right side.
Use Times or Times New Roman font, set at 12
Use correct APA citations within the body
The paper should be no longer than 2 pages in length. Use proper formatting.
Save as a .doc or .docx and submit to Canvas [do not submit a google doc or any other type of document)

No actual research will be conducted. Conducting research requires internal review and approval by the Institutional Review Board.

This should be a persuasive research paper  in which you argue for, and support, your own point of view. One half of the paper can be used to bring up other methods that are seen to also combat climate change and argue how they are not effective and the other half of the paper can solely fucos on the ideal method to combat climate change and how it is the number one method to be used to combat climate change. Please include a refference page as well.
