    Purpose
Option C: Apply Your Knowledge to Understand a Cloud Computing Failure
Since cloud computing has emerged, not all companies have been successful. For Option C, you will use information that is publicly available to consider when cloud computing has failed. If you select option C, your first step is to research cloud computing failures (e.g., Google “Cloud computing failures”). Identify a time when cloud computing has failed – this can be a time when a company relied upon the cloud and it failed or when a company providing cloud computing to another company failed.
    Who should select Option C
Option C is best if you do not have knowledge of how the IT works inside of your organization or if you do not have a new business idea. This option is best for you if you want to understand more about how companies are using the cloud, but did not succeed. The idea is that, if you can examine what went wrong, you are better positioned to assist a company in enabling a successful cloud computing initiative!
    Instructions
Your first step is to identify the company that you want to study. After finding an example of when cloud computing has failed, take some time to find more research and articles on the cloud. Find information on went wrong and then begin to consider what the company should have done differently. You will need to identify: (a) Information about the company; (b) the problem – what went wrong?; and (c) where you, through your research, believe that there is an opportunity for the change their approach to cloud computing. Once you have completed your analysis, you will write a document that includes four sections.
    Section 1: The Company
Drawing upon information that is publicly available, trace the history of the company from beginning to the current time period, including the key executives, key milestones in the evolution of the company, and key developments that led to this point in the organization.
    Target word count: 250 words
    Section 2: The Problem
Your next section should identify the failure that the company had – what went wrong? Explain what went wrong and then outline the limitations of their architecture and identify which aspect of their infrastructure needs to be altered due to the failure.
    Target word count: 250 words
    Section 3: The Solution
Your third section should propose a solution for how to overcome their cloud computing failure. In your solution, identify: (a) Why you believe they should follow your advice in the cloud for your specific solution and (b) Which specific aspect of their infrastructure needs to be altered in the cloud.
    Target word count: 250 words
    Section 4: Implementation Plan
Your fourth section should be to create an implementation plan to put your solution into place.  Identify the critical success factors, any potential sources of risk, and the business case that needs to be established.  If any changes to governance or strategy need to be made, be sure to include this.  Conclude by discussing the benefits to the company for following your solution.
    Target word count: 250 words
    Submission Guidelines
Do not simply list the information for each section into bullet form. Your submission must be written as a traditional paper with headings and prose. Save your file as a Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx) with the following naming convention:
    lastname_COAWA_Final
    Example: Tiger_COAWA_Final
If you do not have access to Microsoft Office, you can create a free Google Drive account and save your work in a Microsoft Word format. For writing assistance, Purdue OWL offers information on guides and quick tips on different aspects of writing. You can also try Grammarly, a free browser plug-in to help with spelling, punctuation, and grammar, or Microsoft Editor.

  • Title: Exploring Databases in the Walden Library for Evidence-Based Practice in Psychiatry

Where can you find evidence to inform your thoughts and scholarly writing? Throughout your degree program, you will use research literature to explore ideas, guide your thinking, and gain new insights. As you search the research literature, it is important to use resources that are peer-reviewed and from scholarly journals. You may already have some favorite online resources and databases that you use or have found useful in the past. For this Discussion, you explore databases available through the Walden Library.
Review the information presented in the Learning Resources for using the Walden Library, searching the databases, and evaluating online resources.
Begin searching for a peer-reviewed article that pertains to your practice area and interests you.
Using proper APA formatting, cite the peer-reviewed article you selected that pertains to your practice area (psychiatry) and is of particular interest to you and identify the database that you used to search for the article. Explain any difficulties you experienced while searching for this article. Would this database be useful to your colleagues? Explain why or why not. Would you recommend this database? Explain why or why not.

    1. develop an in-depth discussion on the main benefits and challenges associated with the use of Case Study
Methodology as a research strategy. Bring at least three elements analyzed in the coursebook for example:
research paradigm, research questions and data collection issues.
    2. Provide different points of view on when this methodology shall be suitable and the different approaches
associated to each case using at least two appropriate examples of case studies to justify your analysis and
    conclusions.
use references from the coursebook (coursebook is in files) and outside the coursebook.

  • Exploring Faculty and their Published Works: A Reflection on Potential Undergraduate Research Opportunities

Add 3 faculty of interest to your list of 2, from Week 6, to make a total of 5 faculty (you can keep the 2 you researched last week or find new faculty, and you can use faculty from other campuses that you might consider working at for undergraduate research). Find ONE published work, from the past 2 years, by each professor, this could be a technical article, review article, book, etc. Create a bibliography that includes full citations (includes titles of the work, author, year, vol, pages etc.)–so you will have a bibliography of FIVE references.  Bold the name of the professor in each reference listed.  You can use your favorite citation manager to create the bibliography, include the name of citation manager you used at the end of the bibliography. Format your bibliography similar to the following reference (it is the inclusion of all the information that matters, not the exact format style, you may use any approved style such as MLA, APA etc):
Robertson, Judy, (+ full author list). “Children’s Interactions with Animated Agents in an Intelligent Tutoring System.” International Journal of Artificial Intelligence in Education, vol. 14, no. 3-4, 2004, pp. 335-357. IOS Press.  http://content.iospress.com/articles/international-journal-of-artificial-intelligence-in-education/jai14-3-4-05Links to an external site.Links to an external site..
Choose ONE of the references that you find the most interesting and write a <1 page, 1" margins, Arial 11 pt, single spaced reflection that includes, IN YOUR OWN WORDS:  Is the journal, book, etc. from a reliable publisher—what is your basis for this assessment? Give specific details on what evidence you found to evaluate the reputation of the journal reliability. Provide at least 2 types of evidence. Why were you drawn to this particular project? Describe what aspects appeal to you (e.g. relation to society, type of methods used, disease/cause you care about etc.) and why you feel strongly about them. Reflect on why you might gain if you worked on this project, e.g. what about it seems like it would be fulfilling, advance your career goals, etc.? How difficult is the paper to read, what aspects of it are most challenging? What additional training would you need to be able to understand the paper in full? Or if you have no problem reading it, what prior preparation allowed you to understand the content? List your answers to each question #1-3 so that they are easy to identify (i.e. not one long narrative but 3 separate sections--one for each numbered item). Submit as a .doc or .docx file. DO NOT PLAGIARIZE IN ANY FORM.  If you have a reference that you do not understand, use a different reference. If you cannot understand any of a professor's references, choose a different professor. Remember, these are potential professors you might like to work for. If you absolutely cannot understand any of their writings, they may not be the best choice of a place to work! Atleast not right now at your current level of knowledge. If any evidence of plagiarism is found, EVEN HALF A SENTENCE, you will receive a zero on the assignment and referral to SJA. If you are not sure what counts as plagiarism, review the video from the Course Basics module and the readings on plagiarism. If any part of your work partly copies a published work, including the internet, that is plagiarism.  Do not use inappropriate quoting to substitute for putting things in your own words. Big Tip for avoiding plagiarism: Read the source material, put it away, and write from your understanding of the material in your own words.
