    Review your Unit 3 Food Intake Record and reflect on the foods you choose to eat.
    Write an essay that discusses the many factors that influence your food choices.
    Your essay must include one factor from each of the following categories (do not use the examples given):Environmental (i.e., organic food does not contain pesticides),
    Psychological (i.e., trying to lose weight to feel “good about myself”), and
    Social factors (i.e., low carbohydrate diets are the “trend”).
    Explain how each of the factors influences your food choices now.
    Explain how each of the factors may influence your food choices in the future.
    Your cultural background might influence what you eat or how food is prepared. Identify three specific examples of how culture impacts food choices or food preparation.

    A nutritional case study evaluates a patient’s progress on their nutritional status, dietary habits, and health outcomes over a period of time in relation to a health issue like obesity, malnutrition, chronic disease, etc. 
    This week, you will construct a case study that will form the basis for a nutritional care plan you will prepare over the coming weeks.  The complete nutritional care plan will be due in Week 10.  You are preparing the first part, now.  Feel free to do an Internet search on what a proper case study should look like.
    Prepare the following for your case study:
    Choose a disease or medical condition that could possibly, or commonly, affect an individual or patent in one of the following stages: pregnancy, infancy and childhood, adolescence, adulthood, and old age.
    List the specific nutrition issues affecting individuals in your selected stage.
    Using the ABCDs of nutritional assessment, create a case study based on an actual client or patient. 
    Include the following in your case study:
    Anthropometrics, relevant biochemical tests, clinical assessment, and dietary intake analysis.
    Be sure to include a list of common medications that may be used to treat your patient’s condition and identify potential herb/nutrient/drug interactions that may be relevant.
    Identify your client’s cultural background and give clues as to their socioeconomic status and psychosocial variables. For example, your patient may be a senior living alone on a fixed income or might be living in a nursing facility with reputed staff.
