Why do you want to attend Concordia University Irvine’s ABSN Program? I have atttended a faith based Universty and I appreciated the faith based learning enviroment. THE CUI has a 95.5% pass rate of the NCLEX exam. The Hybrid program will allow me to keep working while I attend classes with adjustment for clinicals. 
Discuss your healthcare experiences. Include the following: type(s) of work/volunteer experience, type(s) of
patient/facility/hours, and certifications. I have been working in healthcare professionally for 20 years. I am a radiology technologist as well as a radiation therapist. I currently work as a cardiac cath lab RT traveler.
What are your expectations of nursing as a career? My mother is a Nurese Midwife. I was young when she went to school and was able to see how important her contribution to her profession was. Working side by side nurses in the cath lab I have first hand witnessed the community and practice of great nurses. I owe my partial education in the cath lab to some great nurses.  I know they are under staffed and underpaid but most all I have had the privilage of meeting and working with love what they do and take great pride in helping their fellow an. 
Explain how the ABSN program will contribute to your long term career goals.  As I’ve stated before my mother is a Nurse Practitioner she now has a practice of her own as a holistic practitioner of functional medicine. My intention is to eventually take over my mothers practice and allow her to enjoy her retirement. My plan is to gain my BSN and eventually move on to my NP.
