Title: Accommodating Religious Observance in the Workplace: The Case of Lisa H.
Lisa H., a registered nurse, has worked triage in the Emergency Department in a regional midwestern hospital for 12 years. Originally from New Jersey, she was a nonpracticing Jew until her late 20s. Now, approaching 40, she has become increasingly committed to religious observance. She keeps kosher at home, bringing her own food to staff lunch meetings. She has been able to use vacation time for the major High Holy Days, but would like to be shomer shabbos (follow strict sabbath observance) and has requested a permanent schedule change from her supervisor, with a written explanation attached, to reflect her need to not work any Friday afternoon through Saturday evening. The supervisor refused her, saying it would not be fair to the other nurses, that Lisa should also try to “fit in more—be part of the team,” as the others perceived her as “standoffish.” When Lisa said it was a religious requirement for her, the supervisor said maybe she should “. . . consider going back to New Jersey where she’d be more comfortable.”
How do you feel about Lisa’s request?
How might this request be honored?
Was the supervisor culturally competent in this situation?
If Lisa were to discuss the issue at a team meeting, how could she present her concerns?
What does EEOC say about honoring employees requests for time off for holidays? -

Find 5 peer reviewed articles about your capstone project. Write a literature review.

A literature review is not an annotated bibliography in which you summarize briefly each article that you have reviewed.
While a summary of what you have read is contained within the literature review, it goes well beyond merely summarizing professional literature.
It focuses on a specific topic of interest and includes your critical analysis of the relationship among different works, and relating this research to your work.
In this case, your work will be your capstone project.
It may be written as a stand-alone paper or to provide a theoretical framework and rationale for a research study (such as a thesis or dissertation).
Your literature review will be written as a standalone paper. -

Legal and Ethical Implications in Nursing Practice: Exploring In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and Artificial Intelligence (AI)
THIS HAS TO BE A BROCHURE!!!
please carefully read the instructions!
For this assignment, you will make a two-page brochure (front and back of one page) discussing the legal and ethical implications of nursing practice. This is an indivdual assignment.
To complete this assignment, follow these steps:
Choose from one of the following topics upon which to create your brochure:
legal and ethical implications related to In vitro fertilization (IVF)
legal and ethical implication related to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Nurses Role
Develop the brochure as if you were using it as a handout during an in-service for nursing professionals.
In the brochure, briefly explain the legal and ethical implications related to the chosen topic.
The brochure is to be tri-fold (on one page, front and back). It must cover both sides completely. You can find templates for brochures in Microsoft Word, or you can create it on your own.
The topic must be covered thoroughly without being overly wordy. Brochures should be simple and easy to read, while also being visually appealing.
Cite and reference information per APA guidelines in the brochure. You must include three scholarly references at the end of the brochure (they do not have to be double-spaced, and they can be in very small print to preserve room). Remember, all citations must have a reference, and all references must have a citation. One reference can be your textbook.
Provide correct APA citation/reference for all images/figures/tables used. Citation font size can be slightly smaller than other text on the brochure to conserve space, but it must be legible when the document is viewed at 100% size. References should be from the past 5 years.
Convert your document to a PDF prior to submitting.
Submit your finished brochure to the drop box.
INCLUDE the following in small font somewhere on the brochure.
