My area of expertise and interest revolves around adult gerontology primary care. The article chosen clearly addresses primary care interventions for the aged and how effective they are and the benefits they bring along if taken seriously.
The database used for this peer-reviewed article is a general/multidisciplinary database, specifically from Google Scholar. I experienced fewer difficulties searching for my article since I used a general database. A general database offers quick access, unlike other databases, especially if a researcher isn’t sure where their topic lies. This database will be useful to my colleagues. As a starting point, my colleagues should opt to use this database first and move to others as the research progresses. It’s easier and more convenient to use a general database on any topic they choose. The database is perfect for obtaining a general overview of the topic a colleague wants to research. It also allows interdisciplinary research, where a colleague can get insights into other topics that relate to the main topic.
In conclusion, I would recommend this database to both a new researcher and an experienced researcher. Aside from the advantages explained above, it also offers convenience by being a one-stop search database. Time and effort are saved a lot while using a general database. Every content on any topic is found at a one-stop place. That makes accessibility easy and fast anytime research is needed. With convenience comes usability and user-friendliness. My colleagues are not yet experienced researchers, therefore, for a start, it’s very easy to use this database, and in the future as we venture into other specific databases, we would still need a general database to get interdisciplinary insights. -
