Promoting Teamwork and Collaboration for Quality Patient Care at Complete Homecare
In 1-2 pages, describe your experiences and connect the experiences with the course objectives (please find attached). Include an assessment of the facilities or agency’s teamwork and collaboration activities that promote open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making. Describe how these activities help achieve quality patient care. Please find attached prior work done with this ongoing projectBackground experience: The experience continues too good. I have always enjoyed working at complete homecare. The company has a very relaxed and friendly environment and field work staff have a very good relationship with the administrative staff. Persons are easily accessible when decisions need to be made, especially as it relates to patient care. However, when it comes to the persons that work within the home, collaborative efforts there are lacking. The workforce team (RN, home health aides, PT, etc.) hardly knows are interact with each other. I do believe there are opportunities for the company to bring the workforce team together, so we can form a better team. This I do believe will give people the opportunities to collaborate and share their own best practices, which could help other workforce members with their patients. However, the management team does have an open-door policy and it’s very easy to get through to them with just a phone call. Mutual respect is big in this company, everyone is treated fairly. I work at this organization both as a home health aide and now as an organization and the respect and treatment are just the same. I am not treated with any more respect than I did when I was a home health aide.
