Your intended audience will be nurse managers who are your peers within the organization. Consider this scenario, and respond to the following.
    What communication skills and/or behaviors are necessary to conduct a successful interview?
    What legal and ethical elements must be considered during the hiring process? What steps can help to maintain legal and ethical standards during the interview?
    Provide one example of a behavior-based interview question, and explain how it can facilitate the interview process.

    Analyze the conflicts or controversies involved in the dilemma.
    Revise and rewrite based on any feedback you received in your previous draft (week three). Reference and discuss any professional code of ethics relevant to your topic such as the AMA code for doctors, the ANA code for nurses, etc.  State whether and how your chosen topic involves any conflicts between professional and familial duties or conflicts between loyalty to self and loyalty to a community or nation.
    What in your view is the most moral thing for that person to do in that dilemma? Why is that the most moral thing? Use moral values and logical reasoning to justify your answer
    Next, apply the following:
    Aristotle’s Golden Mean to the dilemma
    Utilitarianism to the dilemma
    Natural Law ethics to the dilemma
    Which of those three theories works best ethically speaking? Why that one?
    Why do the other two not work or not work as well?
    Is it the same as what you said is the most moral thing earlier? Why or why not?
    Use the 5 articles from your annotated bibliography to support your answers. (Additional academic scholarly research from the past 5 years can be included as well.) 
    Include a reference page at the end of your paper in APA format that includes your bibliography with the annotations removed and any other sources used in your final paper.

  • Assessment of Nursing Leadership in a Health Care Agency: A Comprehensive Analysis

    This paper is a comprehensive leadership assessment of an individual who has a nursing administrative position in a health care agency or field of your own employment (e.g. hospital, hospice, school of nursing, outpatient surgery unit, clinic, etc.). Although you will need to define the status and title of the position, you are not to use identifying names of the person or the setting. Descriptions of the role and the setting are required. You will need to access the information from a job description, expectations for the role, performance appraisal guidelines, and required competencies.
    The paper will be a minimum of five double-spaced pages in length and maximum of 10 pages, excluding the cover sheet and the reference list.

    Tips in writing this paper: 
    Invariably the question that comes up is: How many references should I use? A rule of thumb is at least one reference per page. Use only professional references which include nursing or other healthcare-related journals, professional websites, or textbooks. Newspapers and popular magazines are not considered professional references.
    Safe assign scores: Follow syllabus and rubric, exceptions are only allowed for higher scores identified due to title page and references. Revise if the body of the content is highlighted in your safe assign report, paraphrase and resubmit. 
    Utilize the bolded and underlined words shown above as sub-headings (avoid copying and pasting the entire rubric phrase as a sub-heading this will increase your safe assign score, just use a word or two as a sub-header). This will keep it organized and easy to follow.
