Assessment Description
While the implementation plan prepares students to apply their research to the problem or issue they have identified for their capstone project change proposal, the literature review enables
students to map out and move into the active planning and development stages of the project.
A literature review analyzes how current research supports the PICOT, as well as identifies what is known and what is not known in the evidence. Students will use the PICOT question from the 
earlier “PICOT Question” template and information from the “Literature Evaluation Table” 
assignment to develop a review.
Using eight peer-reviewed articles, write 750-1,000-word review that includes the following
sections:
Introduction section (including PICOT Question)
A summary of the purpose of the studies
A comparison of sample populations
A synthesis of the studies’ conclusions (when looking at all of the studies together, group the
conclusions by themes )
A summary of the limitations of the studies
A conclusion section, incorporating recommendations for further research
You are required to cite a minimum of eight peer-reviewed articles to complete this assignment. Sources must be published within the past 5 years, appropriate for the assignment criteria, and
relevant to nursing practice.
Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the 
Student Success Center.
This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to
become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.

Imagine that you are a director of nursing informatics and have decided to give a presentation to staff about the relationship between the American Nurses Association (ANA) standards and quality outcomes and how data can contribute to strengthening and enhancing those outcomes. Jill, a 24 y/o Hispanic female arrives in the emergency room where her parents brought her for evaluation. They are worried because she is giving away all of her possessions and says she is planning to move to the South Pole so she can “save the world.” Her parents say that she has hardly been sleeping at all for the last 7 days, but she seems very energetic. They   say she has appeared to be “in a frenzy” lately. When you interview Jill you notice that she  speaks very rapidly and is laughing uncontrollably. It is hard to get her to be quiet long       enough for you to ask questions. She seems agitated and has difficulty sitting still.
Remember to answer these questions from your textbooks and clinical guidelines to create your evidence-based treatment plan. At all times, explain your answers. 
Summarize the clinical case including the significant subjective and objective data.
Generate a primary and two differential diagnoses.  Use the DSM5 to support the assessment.  Include the DSM5 and ICD 10 codes.
Discuss a pharmacological treatment would you prescribe? Use the clinical guidelines to support the rationale for this treatment.
Discuss non-pharmacological treatment would you prescribe?  Use the clinical guidelines to support the rationale for this treatment.
Describe a health promotion intervention that would be appropriate for this patient.
