Scenario
Your nurse manager has asked you to partner with the nurse educator that coordinates orientation for new nursing hires. The nurse educator suggests that the following areas (policy, economics, and legal) are not well-represented in nursing orientation materials and that your input would be welcome. You are told that the orientation materials should be brief, as they are part of the notebook that each nurse is given regarding hospital and nursing policies and procedures, as well as tips for best practice.

Identifies the basic principles of malpractice.
Assesses best practices for avoiding nursing malpractice.
Summarizes the State Board of Nursing Disciplinary Process and resources to find Nursing Practice Standards.
Provides stated ideas with professional language and attribution for credible sources with correct APA citation, spelling, and grammar in the nursing orientation resource insert sheets.

I have attached 3 files. They are my Professional Plan for my Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner program and future in this profession. If you could just do part 4 only 3 paragraphs. All 3 files should be put together with final Part 4.
ACADEMIC SUCCESS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN PART 4: FINALIZING THE PLAN
At some point in every construction project, efforts turn from design and the focus moves to actual construction. With the vision in place and the tools secured, the blueprint can be finalized and approved. Then it is time to put on hardhats and begin work.
Throughout the course you have developed aspects of your Academic and Professional Development Plan. You have thought a great deal about your vision and goals, your academic and professional network of support, research strategies and other tools you will need, the integrity of your work, and the value of consulting the work of others. With your portfolio in place, it is now time to finalize your blueprint for success.
Much as builders remain cognizant of the building standards as they plan and begin construction, nurses must remain mindful of the formal standards of practice that govern their specialties. A good understanding of these standards can help ensure that your success plan includes any steps necessary to excel within your chosen specialty.
In this Assignment you will continue developing your Academic Success and Professional Development Plan by developing the final component–a review of your specialty standards of practice. You will also submit your final version of the document, including Parts 1–4.
Note: For students in Nursing Education, Executive Nursing, Nursing Informatics, or Public Health Nursing, this Assignment is the first Portfolio Assignment in your program. You will have one Portfolio Assignment in each of your courses. You will need to save these Assignments for inclusion in your portfolio that you will submit in your Capstone course.

Introduction
Course analytics are important in guiding the revision process as well as further development of your evaluation strategies and documentation. As a nursing educator, you must establish and maintain analytical data to demonstrate to your stakeholders that your course is meeting the learning and program outcomes in order to gain approval to move forward with the new course.
Program effectiveness depends not only on internal factors, but also on external factors. Course outcomes should be based on the program learning outcomes and placed in an evaluation plan. Program outcomes evaluate the effectiveness of the whole program and what your course will contribute to meeting these outcomes.
Overview
Create and record a PowerPoint presentation with 10–12 slides that proposes a systematic process for determining the effectiveness of the new course you have added to the nursing curriculum.
While you will not have access to real analytical data from real learners to show how the course is meeting the learning and program outcomes, you should still be able to use the formative feedback from the instructor you received for your earlier assessments, as well as scholarly research, to think critically about a process that could potentially guide improvement efforts for the nursing program in which the course is being hypothetically offered.

Creating a Presentation
Creating a presentation requires using some technology tools that you might not be familiar with. You can review the following library guide on using PowerPoint:

Make sure your presentation contains the following slide headings and sections, which reflect critical elements that align with the grading criteria:
Title.
Purpose. Include the reasons for the presentation (1–2 slides).
Philosophical Approaches. Explain some of the major philosophical approaches to evaluation (2–3 slides).
Program Evaluation Process. Show the steps of the program evaluation process (2–3 slides).
Evaluation Design. Select and articulate an evaluation design, framework, or model for program evaluation (2–3 slides).
Program Improvement. Examine how data analysis can be used to foster ongoing program improvement (2–3 slides).
References. Include a minimum of eight sources, cited using current APA style and formatting.
Recording Your Presentation
In addition to creating a PowerPoint, record a 10–15 minute presentation for stakeholders that covers all of the main points from your PowerPoint.
Before starting to record your presentation, make sure you have done the following:
Set up and tested your microphone and headset using the installation instructions provided by the manufacturer. You only need to use the headset if your audio is not clear or high quality when captured by the microphone.
Practice using the equipment to ensure the audio quality is sufficient.
Consult Using Kaltura for guidance on how to record your presentation and upload it in the courseroom.
Microsoft PowerPoint also allows you to record your narration with your slides. If you choose this option, simply submit your presentation to the appropriate area of the courseroom. Your narration will be included with your slides.
Remember to practice delivering and recording your presentation multiple times to ensure effective delivery.

The purpose of a course evaluation is to ensure that your course is, in fact, serving the intended purpose and assessing the learning outcomes and instructional content. Standardized templates are useful for learners, faculty, and the organization because they allow you to establish expectations and ensure data collected give you the right kind of information upon which to make evidence-based decisions related to meeting learners’ and the organization’s needs and goals.

Part One – Standardized Course Evaluation Template
Determine the best approach for evaluating whether the learning objectives and program outcomes are being assessed adequately in your course. Make use of your work from the previous assessments in the creation of your standardized course assessment template.
Create a standardized template that clearly measures the course’s ability to achieve the learning objectives and outcomes stated in your earlier assessments in this course. Ensure you have addressed the course objectives, faculty and resource effectiveness, and the three domains of learning in the questions. These should be learner focused.
There is no page limit for this template. Page length should be appropriate to the context.
Note: You are encouraged to integrate feedback received for your earlier assessments to continue tweaking your application of the concepts in this course.
Part Two – Executive Summary
Once you have completed your standardized template, construct an executive summary to discuss the rationale for it.
In the executive summary, include the following critical elements that align with the grading criteria:
A summary of how the course evaluation aligns with the stated course learning objectives and program outcomes.
A justification for the methods chosen to evaluate the achievement of learning outcomes.
A description of how validity and reliability of evaluation methods will be established.

APA format: Use correct APA style and formatting for the executive summary, paying particular attention to citations and references.
Document format: Include a cover page and a properly formatted APA style reference list.
References: Include at least 5 peer-reviewed scholarly resources from the last 5 years to support your rationale.
Length:
Executive summary: 1–2 double-spaced pages (excluding cover page and reference list).
