  • “Addressing the Challenges of Caregiving: A Comparative Analysis of Policies and Programs for Informal and Formal Care Workers”

Goal: To examine (compare and contrast) competing views on challenges in major age-based social policies (and problems). I am asking you to choose one topic:
    1) “Caregiving” and polices and programs to help informal (family), and formal “direct-care” workers. For this topic, The Age of Dignity, can be a major resource. Chapters 3-5 deal with the socioeconomic context of caregivng from unpaid and paid caregivers. They also discuss the advocacy programs created by Ai-jen Poo as well as the state and federal policies that she is trying to bring into law. Other recommended readings are below.
    2) Social Security and policy changes needed to maintain the financial solvency of the Social Security program. For this topic, chapter 17 in Social Gerontology can be a major resource for background and history, as well as some current debates on “solvency” and “privatization.” From the “Social Security Challenge,” you now know about a wide range of financial options to explore. Not all are being discussed in public debates.
You choose one, not both. Detailed instructions are inside. I also included suggested readings on both topics.
    Content Areas:
1.Introduction & Data (5 points): What is the current crisis or challenge that needs to be addressed? How would you define it from social and economic perspectives? This section should include “background” data and statistics to help illustrate the problem or challenges.
    2. Defining the Programs and Policy Issues : (5 points) What policies, programs, or options are already being discussed to address the challenge. What major policies or programs have already been created in this area and what do they contribute to the current situation in terms of services or benefits provided?
    3. Future Issues and Debates: (10 points) This should be an important part of the paper; and not just be a listing of your own opinions. Please look for some solid resources where different opinions are being debated.   What are some of the greatest challenges (politically or economically) affecting the future of this program or service? How many more people are expected to need these services or supports in the future? What changes, if any, might be needed, to prepare for meet demand and sustain these services?
    4. APA-Style Citations & References: (5 points). This is important. I would like to see full and complete in-text citations (as a sign of academic respect and acknowledgment to the work you are using. I also want to see at least five (5) references used and discussed. That does not mean you have to use all sources in equal amounts; some sources can be used to provide useful facts and data, while other sources are needed to explain longer arguments, ideas, and decisions.

  • Title: “Leadership Challenges and Strategies: A Case Study Analysis”

Hi please use attached essay content , rewrite to encorporate below feedback.
The strengths of this work are:
You identified key themes and stakeholders. The poster follows the recommended structure and it is clear throughout and aligned to the narration.
    Areas for development:
It is unclear what is the leadership challenge in question. You have mentioned several things, but your background does not address a specific leadership challenge. It then moves on to the area of leadership addressed, however the case scenario does not indicate any instances where this was shown. It seems transformational leadership addressed here, better fits the recommendations or even reflection chapters. You need to provide a more focused leadership style where you can identify leadership theories, approaches and styles so you can later link this to the recommendations where a change would be expected. Servant leadership and adaptive leadership are considered more styles than approaches. For approaches you would be thinking of transactional, transformational or situational. The discussion then provides communication strategies and conflict resolution techniques, however this needs to be further explored and critically analysed. It is unclear in what context due to lack of background specification. There is a list of recommendations mostly based in the decision-making framework, there is no mention of recommended leadership styles or approaches. Please remember the reflection chapter is not only on lessons learnt from the case but overall, and how you will use these to inform future practice.
Feed forward for your next assessment:
Appropriate for the formative, however, ensure you write in the third person for your summative. Arguments must be well evidenced. Please ensure your in-text citations are adequate, please ensure you reference appropriately and according to the NMPC guidance (APA 7th style).

    Close
    Unit 2 – Individual Project (125 points)
Due: Sun, May 12 |Printer Friendly Version
    Description
    Assignment Details:
Forever Pure produces two types of water filters. One attaches to the faucet and cleans all water that passes through the faucet. The other is a pitcher-cum-filter that only purifies water meant for drinking.
The unit that attaches to the faucet is sold for $72 and has variable costs of $20.
The pitcher-cum-filter sells for $88 and has variable costs of $16.
Forever Pure sells two faucet models for every three pitchers sold. Fixed costs equal $960,000.
What is the break-even point in unit sales and dollars for each type of filter at the current sales mix?
Forever Pure is considering buying new production equipment. The new equipment will increase fixed cost by $166,400 per year and will decrease the variable cost of the faucet and the pitcher units by $4 and $8, respectively.
Assuming the same sales mix, how many of each type of filter does Forever Pure need to sell to break even?
Assuming the same sales mix, at what total sales level would Forever Pure be indifferent between using the old equipment and buying the new production equipment?
If total sales are expected to be 23,000 units, should Forever Pure buy the new production equipment?
Assess lessons learned concerning cost-volume-profit analysis and decision making.
    Please submit your assignment.
For assistance with your assignment, please use your textbook, all course resources, and any external research and resources you have gathered.

  • Quality Improvement Initiative: Part 1 – Evaluating Low Performing Quality and Patient Safety Issues in a Selected Hospital “Exploring the Impact of Social Media on Mental Health: A Review of Recent Literature”

For this first part of the quality improvement (QI) initiative, you will write a three- to five-page paper that details the information you find in your research about your team’s selected hospital. Recall from the Project Brief: Quality Improvement Initiatives that your team is to select a hospital from the Medicare.gov Providers & Services: Find Care ProvidersLinks to an external site. webpage.
In order to fulfill the CEO’s request to identify the low performing quality and patient safety issues in the hospital, browse through the following categories listed on the webpage for your team’s selected hospital:
    Timely and Effective Care
Note: No two team members can research the same initiative. Each team member will be working independently on their chosen initiative. If you feel you need support, reach out to your team members.
After your team selects a hospital, explore the categories listed on your chosen hospital’s webpage to get an understanding of how it scores. Be sure to scroll down and expand each category to see the measures nested within the category. For example, for one particular hospital, under the category “Timely and Effective Care for Sepsis Care,” the hospital scored 53% for this measure. This is the percentage of patients who received appropriate care for severe sepsis and septic shock. The national average was 60%, and the state average was 55%. This is a low performing quality and patient safety issue that could be explored. Here is another example: Under the category “Timely and Effective Care for Emergency Department Care,” this hospital had 146 minutes for the measure, “average (median) time patients spent in the emergency department before leaving from the visit.” The national average had 172 minutes, and the state average had 158 minutes. But another hospital in the same area had 125 minutes. This measure could be explored as well.
    In your paper,
Describe the nature of the business, services or products, and customers served by your chosen hospital.
Evaluate one measure of your choice.
Remember that each team member must have a unique measure.
Discuss the importance of your selected measure (e.g., accreditation status, patient safety, and/or financial status of the hospital).
Define two to three SMART goals for your selected measure to improve.
Be sure to include all five elements—specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound—in each goal.
For example: To implement an up-and-running emergency department tracking system by 12/31/2022. To hire and train additional five nurses to meet the staff-to-patient ratio during peak times by 12/31/2022.  To reduce the turnaround time at 10% for lactic acid/lactate levels laboratory testing by 12/31/2022.
Analyze specific local, state, or national policies (e.g., The Joint Commission Standards) that have been developed to improve your selected measure based on evidence-based practice research.
