Inadequate Pain Management in Healthcare: Pain management is a fundamental aspect of patient care, encompassing both the physical and emotional dimensions of health. Here’s why understanding the significance and intricacies of pain management is essential:
Physical Recovery: Adequate pain management facilitates the body’s healing process. When pain is well-managed, patients can participate more actively in physical therapy, move more freely, and engage in activities that promote recovery.
Emotional and Psychological Well-being: Chronic or acute unmanaged pain can lead to emotional distress, anxiety, depression, and feelings of hopelessness. Proper pain management not only addresses the physical sensation but also supports the patient’s overall mental well-being.
Patient Compliance: Patients who experience unmanaged pain may be less likely to adhere to treatment plans, attend follow-up appointments, or engage in rehabilitative activities, all of which can hinder their recovery.
Quality of Life: Pain affects every aspect of a patient’s life, from daily activities and sleep patterns to social interactions and mental focus. Effective pain management can significantly improve a patient’s quality of life.
Patient Satisfaction: Pain management is often a primary concern for patients in healthcare settings. Their satisfaction with care is closely tied to how effectively their pain is managed. Satisfied patients are more likely to trust their healthcare providers, adhere to medical advice, and have better overall outcomes.
Professional and Ethical Responsibility: Healthcare providers have an ethical responsibility to alleviate suffering. Inadequate pain management can be seen as a failure in this duty, impacting the professional reputation of the provider and the institution.
Economic Implications: Unmanaged pain can lead to extended hospital stays, increased healthcare visits, and additional treatments, resulting in higher costs for both patients and healthcare systems.
Potential for Chronic Pain: Inadequate management of acute pain can sometimes lead to the development of chronic pain conditions. Chronic pain can be more challenging to treat and can have long-term implications for the patient’s

  • Title: Ethical Dilemmas Raised by the COVID-19 Pandemic: A Review of Governmental and Non-Governmental Issues and Recommendations for the Future

    Unit III Scholarly Activity
Ethical Dilemmas Raised by COVID-19 Pandemic
COVID-19 created havoc on our society. With millions of people infected, surges of seriously ill COVID-19 patients, shortages of supplies, rationing of testing, and competing obligations of health care workers who are concerned about their own lives and the lives of their family, many ethical questions were created by this crisis. Ethical issues even arose at the highest levels of government, as federal agencies scrambled to manage the pandemic and its effects.
As you will recall from the Unit I, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is responsible for national health and human services policy objectives.
Three departments within the HHS are Medicare, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), all of which were integral players in managing the pandemic.
This assignment has three parts. First, briefly summarize how each of the three HHS departments impacted the welfare of the American people during the pandemic and identify at least one ethical issue that involved one of the departments.
Next, in part two, you will identify a non-governmental ethical dilemma associated with COVID-19. This may be a dilemma faced by health care workers, communities, businesses or organizations, or even personal dilemmas. For each of the two dilemmas you identify, address each of the following:
    What is the ethical dilemma?
Briefly describe the issues surrounding the dilemma.
What are your recommendations to resolve each dilemma and prevent it from occurring in the future?
What changes in health care do you think will or should occur in the future as a result of each dilemma?
Finally, in part three, review and respond to the following scenario:
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we experienced a national shortage of ventilators and saw how health care providers had to ration limited supplies. Many hospitals had a limited number of ventilators compared to the number of COVID-19 patients who needed them. If you were a health care professional in a hospital setting, and the three patients listed below arrived on your shift, which one would you choose to give the one ventilator that is left in your facility? Explain your reasoning. Note: They are all struggling to breathe and have been brought to a triage tent at the same time. There are no other medical facilities in the area with ventilators.
    a 16-year-old boy with diabetes
    a 25-year-old mother
a 75-year-old who is an immediate member of your own family
Each of the three parts of this assignment must be a minimum of one page, for a total of at least three pages. The title and references pages do not count toward this requirement.
You must use at least three peer-reviewed or academic sources to support your responses, one of which must be from the CSU Online Library. Adhere to APA Style when constructing this assignment, including in-text citations and references for all sources that are used. Please note that no abstract is needed.

  • “Rescuing My Directed Research Course: Finding a Platinum Writer to Finish Strong on Ketamine for Treatment-Resistant Depression and PTSD”

I hired a super geek writer to help me finish a 10 week directed research course. We are now week 5, and my experience with my writer has been nothing short of a nightmare. I want to hire a new person to help me finish the course using the work I′ve presented so far and build on that.
I am behind schedule, so I need to finish the coursework in the next three weeks. The end result is an argumentative research paper.
The subject is the use of ketamine for the treatment of treatment-resistant depression and PTSD. I have worked with some research to continue working with since I′ve already turned in five weeks of work. I need to continue with the same sources and line of argument. I can provide the outlines and past work to catch the rider up to speed.
I need a platinum writer skilled in writing argumentative research papers, putting sources in Turabian style, following instructions, and delivering on time. This is an undergraduate course, so the required work is not complicated. I need a good and creative writer and not someone who has to do 5 or 6 revisions and still not get it I also want a writer who will go the extra mile and not write the minimum amount of words but will write the maximum amount that I need. The final paper will be around 2600 words max; the weekly assignments are twice weekly, anywhere from 350 to 1500 words max. What remains is an introduction with a hook, a Section 1 argument, and a counterargument with two sources.
Section 2 with two solid arguments and counterargument and three separate supporting sources
A conclusion paper to wrap up the research paper, which could be around 4 to 500 words
Then, for the final paper, which is approximately 2200 to 2600 max words, there are weekly assignments, as I′ve said, breaking this all down into particular assignments.
2 assignments this week, 2 assignments next and 2 assignments the week after.
