Course Description and Purpose
This course will examine historical, social, economic, and political factors that affect curriculum construction, implementation, evaluation, and revision in nursing education. Nursing theories and learning theories will be explored as frameworks for curriculum development. Curriculum will be evaluated for congruence with institutional mission, school philosophy, program objections, course objectives and teaching learning strategies. Research on curriculum development and revisions will be analyzed.

In this assignment, you will examine how advances in technology and telehealth have improved health care in rural communities. Transportation, health monitoring, timelines, and communication within the health care system are key areas where telehealth can reduce or minimize challenges and burdens with patient encounters.
