Professionals in health care facilities manage a variety of administrative processes, ensuring the smooth operation of the organization. These individuals have extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements and a deep understanding of the complexities involved in patient care. Imagine you have been invited to speak at an annual meeting for a national health care company, where you will address a group of managers and directors. Your objective is to deliver a comprehensive overview of the strategic role of health care administrators, presenting the political, legal, and ethical aspects of their responsibilities.
For this assignment, you will create a professional slide presentation (with PowerPoint, Prezi, or Google Slides) focusing on the political, legal, and ethical aspects of the health care administrator’s role. Your target audience consists of industry professionals who may not have a thorough understanding of your work.
    Instructions
Create a slide presentation that includes the following:
In 3-5 slides, summarize the political, legal, and ethical aspects specific to the health care administrator’s role, including how these aspects overlap and interface.
In 2-3 slides, explore three key duties and responsibilities in health care administration, such as risk management, policy and procedure implementation, regulatory compliance, or roles like compliance officer or ethics board member.
In 1-2 slides, evaluate the importance and benefits of two job titles commonly found in health care delivery settings that are dedicated to risk management and regulatory compliance.
In 4-6 slides, analyze the impact of political, legal, and ethical issues on both patients and staff, including patient benefits and the financial and business operations of a health care facility.
In 2-3 slides, summarize the role of health care administrators in addressing political, legal, and ethical issues related to incidents such as data breaches or HIPAA or EMTALA violations, and the implications that can arise if these issues are mishandled.
Cite at least 3 peer-reviewed articles less than five years old to support your investigation, including in-text citations. Use proper SWS formatting.

    Introduction
The U.S. health care workforce comprises both clinical and nonclinical professionals. The field is very diverse with professionals coming from all over the world. Physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, physical therapists, psychologists, chiropractors, and pharmacists are only a few of the many types of clinical professionals. On the nonclinical side, administrators, financial analysts, information analysts, billing specialists, and collection specialists are just a few types of nonclinical professionals. All of these individuals come from different backgrounds and must work together to ensure the best patient experience and highest quality care possible.
To ensure high quality care, health care professionals must be aware of, and comply with, laws designed to protect patients. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) has been one of the most far-reaching laws that has directly impacted not only health care professionals, but also patients (Clobes, 2022). Most organizations have annual training requirements to ensure all employees are aware of the regulations as they relate to their specific job functions. Ethical issues such as treatment of the terminally ill, genetic testing, cloning, organ donation, and euthanasia are additional topics that further challenge health care professionals. As a health care administrator, you must understand the laws and ethical standards to which you are held.

  • Title: Interdisciplinary Collaboration to Improve Organizational and Patient Outcomes: A Evidence-Based Plan

Please follow the Capella Guidelines for Effective PowerPoint Presentations [PPTX]. If you need technical information on using PowerPoint, refer to Capella University Library: PowerPoint Presentations.
Be sure that your plan addresses the following, which corresponds to the grading criteria in the scoring guide. Please study the scoring guide carefully so you understand what is needed for a distinguished score.
Explain an organizational or patient issue for which a collaborative interdisciplinary team approach would help achieve a specific improvement goal.
Summarize an evidence-based interdisciplinary plan to address an organizational or patient issue.
Explain how the interdisciplinary plan could be implemented and how the human and financial resources would be managed.
Propose evidence-based criteria that could be used to evaluate the degree to which the project was successful in achieving the improvement goal.
Communicate the PowerPoint presentation of the interdisciplinary improvement plan to stakeholders in a professional manner, with writing that is clear, logically organized, and respectful with correct grammar and spelling using current APA style.
There are various ways to structure your presentation; following is one example:
Part 1: Organizational or Patient Issue.
What is the issue that you are trying to solve or improve?
Why should the audience care about solving it?
Part 2: Relevance of an Interdisciplinary Team Approach.
Why is using an interdisciplinary team relevant, or the best approach, to addressing the issue?
How will it help to achieve improved outcomes or reach a goal?
    Part 3: Interdisciplinary Plan Summary.
    What is the objective?
How likely is it to work?
What will the interdisciplinary team do?
Part 4: Implementation and Resource Management.
How could the plan be implemented to ensure effective use of resources?
How could the plan be managed to ensure that resources were not wasted?
How does the plan justify the resource expenditure?
    Part 5: Evaluation.
What would a successful outcome of the project look like?
What are the criteria that could be used to measure that success?
How could this be used to show the degree of success?
Again, keep in mind that your audience for this presentation is a specific group (or groups) at your interviewee’s organization and tailor your language and messaging accordingly. Remember, also, that another person will ultimately be giving the presentation. Include thorough speaker’s notes that flesh out the bullet points on each slide.
Number of slides: Plan on using one or two slides for each part of your presentation as needed, so the content of your presentation will be 8–12 slides in length. Remember that slides should contain concise talking points, and you will use presenter’s notes to go into detail. Be sure to include a reference slide as the last slide of your presentation.
Number of references: Cite a minimum of 3 sources of scholarly or professional evidence that support your central ideas. Resources should be no more than five years old.
APA formatting: Make sure that in-text citations on your slides and in your notes pages and reference slide reflect current APA Style and Format.
