  • “The Influence of Cultural Factors on Fashion: Exploring the Intersection of Tradition and Modernity”

    You will incorporate the research you have done into a researched-based, academic essay. The essay should be tailored for the audience you have chosen (initially suggested in the Proposal and finalized in the Audience Activity).
    You may use Generative AI tools for this assignment.  However, any text directly quoted or paraphrased from text created by a GenAI tool must be cited, and no more than 25% of the essay may be quoted/paraphrased/summarized from text created by a GenAI tool.  Text created by GenAI tools does not count as one of the 6 credible sources.  If you use GenAI tools, you must turn in the How I Used GenAI form with the essay.
    Here are the guidelines for the Final Researched Essay. The Final Researched Essay must:
    Be 10-12 pages in length (this does not include the title page or Works Cited/References).  It may not be more than 14 pages (not including title page or Works Cited/References)
    Include cited material in the text from at least 6 credible sources
    Use MLA or APA format, including a Works Cited or References list, and including how the document is put together (margins, spacing, font, in-text citations, etc.)
    Make an argument: the thesis must make a claim, and the essay must develop and explain the reasons and evidence which support that claim. The thesis must meet the thesis guidelines for this class.
    Include at least one counterargument and a response to that counterargument.
    Be appropriate for its audience
    Grading for this assignment will be based in:
    Meeting all the above requirements in full (for example, using MLA or APA document design as well as citation correctly)
    The strength of the evidence and analysis
    The effectiveness of the integration of the source material
    How effective the essay is for its audience (language use, type of evidence, level of explanation and analysis, pacing of information)
    How effectively the essay uses writing conventions to convey its argument (sentence structure, word choice, integration of visuals if used, design elements like headings, etc.)
    I need to add more length approximately 3 more pages to reach 10 pages excluding the title and reference pages.
    I also need 2 additional sources to be added.
    The topic of my essay is the influence of culture on fashion.
    Here is the feedback I have received from my teacher:
    – This provides summary of and some commentary on the articles, but the assignment specifically asked that you not focus on the articles. The evidence you provide from each is useful in the Final Researched Essay, but the text here should not be used in the Final Researched Essay. The final paragraph here has points you should expand and develop in the Final Researched Essay. There are corrections on the citation onf the text.
    – Needs better connection through the paper
    – What you have here needs development and explanation, particularly analysis of the quote.

    Your paper will contain these five sections:
    What I knew and didn’t know about this topic;
    WhyI’m writing this paper;
    The story of the “hunt”—the research process;
    Discuss your results and give support. Cite your sources. Write at least one paragraph for each major research result. Support your findings with quotations, paraphrases, and summaries of information from sources.
