Please only write for Topic #1:
Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley’s Frankenstein (1818) concerns the Romantic themes of
creation, invention, and animation. Shelley’s gothic novel utilizes overlapping levels of
narration evident in the three narrators: Robert Walton, Victor Frankenstein, and the
Creature. Please refer to attached document to see what needs to be considered in essay.

    – 3-4 pages

-In 3-4 pages consider the following: 1.
In 3-4 pages, you will need to consider the following:
    ·       What is the
significance of Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley’s title Frankenstein or The Modern Prometheus? How can Frankenstein be
likened to a Byronic hero? In other words, what is his quest? To what extent
    does Frankenstein fulfill his quest?
    ·       Mary Shelley
Wollstonecraft includes this epigraph from Paradise
Lost beneath the title: “Did I request thee, Maker, from my clay / To mould
    me
    man? Did I
solicit thee / From darkness to promote me?” What do these lines mean? In other
words, what sort of analogy can be drawn here between Adam and God in
comparison to the Creature and Frankenstein in this context? How does the
Creature identify himself with Adam in terms of his request? How does
Frankenstein identify himself with the “Maker”?
    ·       After
Frankenstein’s death, the Creature admits: “But I was the slave, not the master
of an impulse, which I detested, yet could not disobey” (Shelley, Norton, 1032). How would you
characterize his “impulse”? Do you agree or disagree that the Creature was a
“slave” to the “impulse” that he “detested” and “could not disobey”? Why? Or
    why not? Conclusions?

  • Title: “Lowering the Legal Drinking Age: A Proposal for Change”

“1. In your research, what have you learned about actions or policies that need to be taken regarding your topic?
Within my research, I have found that the legal age of Drinking has laws that vary from country to country. For example, in some parts of the European continent, you could drink before the age of 21 while in the US you have to be 21 to drink. Another thing that some states such as Texas have is that you could drink if you are underage but have to company your legal guardian.
    2. What do you think should happen regarding your topic? What do you propose?
I think since drinking is the root of the problem we should lower the alcohol level of the drinks; similar to the alcohol percentage in Europe. But what I propose is lowering the age of drinking to 19-20.
    3. Why do you think this proposal might be better than others’ ideas?
I believe that my proposal might be better than others’ ideas because there are two sides to the argument. One side is to keep the legal age of drinking to 21 while the other side is lowering the legal age of drinking to 18, “Why can I join the army but not drink” being the repetitive quote that I keep hearing. Since my proposal is lowering the legal age of drinking to 19-20 it satisfies both sides due to it still lowering but also still being a relatively “older” age.
    4. What are some actions your classmates could take?
Although this topic is more of a national problem we could still spread awareness and make petitions that could track the attention of governors so they can be the ones changing the laws.”
this was one of my assignments leading up to this assignment, so you can could usit as some sort of reference.

  • “Exploring Cultural Identity: A Logical Division Essay on the Characteristics of My Country’s Culture” Title: The Versatile Hat: A Closer Look at Its History, Function, and Fashion

    Essay
    #1 – Logical Division
    Culture, Identity, and Homeland
    Assignment
    Write
a logical division essay answering the question below. Describe your country’s culture or ethnic identity.
    You must analyze
it by logical division, and the characteristics must be significant.  Choose one of the patterns for logical
    division below:
    1.
    Time: Past and now
    2.
    Aspect: Advantages and Disadvantages
    Advantages only
    All developing
paragraphs must follow the same logical division. In order words, if you choose
time, do not switch to aspect. If you chose to describe one advantage and one
disadvantage of this cultural aspect, the same support and order must be
followed in all three body paragraphs.
    The answer should
not be about your personal identity
but rather your general cultural or ethnic identity. For example, what
are the characteristics of Russian people? Or what does it mean to be a
Mexican? The focus of the essay is not you personally, but the cultural or
ethnic group that you belong to. Therefore, you should not have to use the personal pronoun “I” too many times in
your essay (except for some examples). The essay “The Cultures of
Kenya” I attachn the file below. is a good example of an essay that describes a
    cultural identity.
    Just like role
models, you must explain qualities or characteristics of your cultural
identity. DO NOT discuss superficial or obvious qualities like
food, clothing, or holidays. Instead, focus on behavior, inner
qualities (think about the qualities of role models on p. 8-9 in your book),
values (what is important to the people), and beliefs that are much more meaningful. Think critically and deeply.
    Step 1
    Think about your topic.
    Step 2
    Draft
    a thesis statement. Then develop
each part of your thesis by making a
list for it. Discuss your ideas
in the Thesis Discussion forum and decide if you want to add or delete any
ideas. USe one of these for thesis 1. Although ____________(country) is very diverse, the three most significant
    cultural traits of ___________(country) are
    _________________________________________,
    ______________________________, ____________________________________
(whole clauses – subject + verb, nouns, or adjective + noun but all must be
    parallel.)
    2. The culture of __________________(country) can be best defined by
    _____________________________, _________________________, and
    _____________________________.
    3. The three most important aspects of the culture of ______________(country) are:
    _________________________, _______________________, and
    ___________________________.
    4. _______________________, _________________________, and
_______________________ are the most important cultural aspects of
    _______________________(country).
    5. The people from ________________ are/value/prefer __________________,
____________________, and __________________ and those are
_______________’s (country) most important/relevant/significant cultural aspects
    Step 3
    Create an outline that
    has:
    ·
A thesis statement. Make sure it has a topic and a controlling
idea, and that the parts of the controlling idea are parallel. Make sure
you also use the vocabulary for logical division.
Use these words period, stage, district, region, zone, aspect, characteristic, element, feature, quality
    ·
    Three topic
sentences. Make sure each sentence has cohesion
with the thesis statement. (See p. 61)
    Step 4
Submit the outline on Canvas. Step 5
    When
you receive a voice comment from me, listen to my
comments. Take notes – it will help you! Considering the feedback,
write your first draft, which should
contain your thesis statement, three body paragraphs, and a one-sentence
concluding summary. Focus on the content, making sure that each topic sentence
is well developed with specific supporting ideas (detailed explanations and examples only). Step 6
Submit your rough draft to Canvas. Step 7
    When
you receive verbal feedback from me, listen to my verbal
comments and revise accordingly. However, don’t just focus on areas that
I commented on. Use adjectives, noun modifiers, prepositional phrases,
    and adjective clauses to include
information that is more specific (see p. 66-71). Write an introduction (see p. 63-64) and a conclusion (see p. 100) for your essay. Combine the introduction,
body paragraphs and conclusion to make one
cohesive essay. Give a title to
your essay (see p. 24). Consider how you can improve your essay even on your own. Look at “Essay
#1 Checklist” in Canvas to see if you have included all the criteria.
    Step 8
Visit the WRC (online) and discuss your essay with a tutor. The
tutor’s job is not to make it perfect, but to help you make general
improvements to the essay. You will need to let me know who your tutor was at
the end of your final draft (please look below for instructions).
    Step 9
When you are satisfied with the content and organization of the
essay, proofread the paper for any grammar,
word choice, punctuation and mechanical errors. Pay special
    attention to:
    ·
    adjectives, noun modifiers ·
    adjective clauses ·
    sentence structure
    ·
    ·
    verb tense
    ·
    subject/verb agreement
Also, try to use more advanced
vocabulary. I encourage you to get your essay checked by a native-speaking tutor before submitting the final
draft, but avoid getting too much help.
Do not let him/her word or write sentences for you. Remember if the paper does not represent your own writing ability,
you will get an automatic 0.
ANY PERCENTAGE OF AI, YOU WILL RECEIVE “0” POINTS.
    Step 10
    Submit your
final draft of Essay #1 to Canvas. It must be uploaded to Turnitin – if you email me your final
draft, I will take two points off. ANd also I attacheed everything need to follow below thsi
