DEEP DIVE RESEARCH PAPER

Grading criteria by Professor:
I will review the references and want to see that they are Journal articles and focused on your topic (at least 10 for the 5-pg paper); please include author, year, title article, title of journal, volume number, page numbers (and doi if an online journal)-I will also count the pages (remember no figures).
Is there an introductory paragraph that introduces the topic, justifies the topic and introduces the subtopics? Do you use references to support your data?
Are the main subtopics well developed in subsequent paragraphs in terms of scientific details (quantitative information or technical discussion of topics)?
Are the sentences and paragraphs well-constructed, including topic and transitional sentences? Do ideas flow between paragraphs and sentences?
Make sure you write in your own words! Read the papers and synthesize the information and then construct the paper yourself-organizing it by TOPIC NOT Papers! Do not copy text from any of your papers – it will show up as word matching in turn-it-in. Do not use the web for information. All your sources must be journal articles and they need to be attached at the end with highlights where you took information for your paper.

field trip and laboratory analysis lab report should have the following contents:
-Purpose and Objectives of the field trip and laboratory analysis.
-Materials and Methods: Map of the study area and stations, experimental design if any or activities and sampling performed in the field, methods and analysis including treatments and counts developed in the lab to reach the objectives of the field trip and laboratory activity.

-The main objective of this lab is to analyse, present and discuss the results obtained at Al-Dhakhira Intertidal study zone and characterize the environmental conditions and the characterization of the phytoplankton and meiofauna communities in 2 contrasting stations outside and inside the mangrove ecosystem. For this purpose, students will apply different methods of analysis (
1) For Zooplankton analysis: (i) The students are invited to use the Bogorov counting chamber and method to count the abundance of the zooplankton groups/taxa (Copepods, Appendicularians, … Meroplanktonic Larvae…) and present the data in individual/m3 (2) For Meiofauna analysis: (i) Sample the sediment and its meiofauna using a plastic core in all stations
-in addition the discussion should include: comparing the results at the 2 stations (mangrove channel and out of the channel), the zooplankton and meiofauna, temperature , salinity, , chlorophyll a, PH , characterize the mangrove ecosystem in terms of biotic and abiotic factor.
-in addition, compare the Mangrove system (zooplanton and meiofauna , abiotic factor, biotic factor) in Qatar to other published paper (will be attached) if they are similar or high or what are the differences are.

I did not turn in a paper proposal as mentioned on the pdf of the instructions. (I already got a 0 for the proposal so it doesnt need to be done- just the research paper) I searched up a peer reviewed article that you can potentially use as the main topic. In addition to that i also need 3 more peer reviewed articles to be included in my essay.
