Purpose
As indicated in the NAEYC Code of Ethics, .early childhood educators must stand up for children and protect their rights. We can do this by being aware and advocating for bills that support children and families. This specifically relates to the Code of Ethics Ideal 1.9: To advocate for and ensure that all children, including those with special needs, have access to the support services needed to be successful. This discussion assignment will give you an opportunity to practice advocacy skills for an issue that you believe can impact the lives of children and families.
