Your final project is a paper that is dealing with controversial issues in policing. You choose a current issue (defund the police, social injustice, militarization of the police, etc.) to assess from a researchers viewpoint . You will choose a side (for or against) and support your viewpoint with research. You will need to have a functional knowledge of police procedure from the readings and you will need to understand legal precedents as presented in the text. her information such as the assignment criteria will be posted in Canvas. Instructions: Briefly discuss the impact of external societal factors on a juvenile’s decision to participate in delinquency. As part of your response, identify at least three (3) different external societal factors that can influence a juvenile when deciding whether to participate in delinquent behavior.
Assignments count toward 20% of the student’s grade. Each assignment is 10%. The second assignment is due Sunday, 11:59 pm EST of week 7. You have been directed by your supervisor to prepare a memorandum which includes theories, data, and research findings that relate to a crime prevention program or strategy. Your research must include one scholarly article published within the past five years and one credible resource (website or online resource from a reputable source) that includes data on crime that relates to the crime prevention program or strategy. Use the Scholarly, Peer Reviewed, and Other Credible Sources document for guidance. It is highly recommended that you view the University of Arizona Global Campus Library’s Database Search Tips tutorial to aid you in finding articles written in the last five years.
You will then record your research in the format of an Annotated Bibliography. Refer to the elements of an Annotated Bibliography and/or the Annotated Bibliography Tutorial video for more information. Using the same headers as those in the Sample Annotated Bibliography, fill-out the sections with information that pertains to each of the two selected resources (one scholarly and one credible), all contained in the memo to your supervisor. Research and Evaluation
Once you have conducted your research, your memorandum should include the following bulleted elements with respect to the selected journal article and credible material.
Summarize the scholarly resource, stating the type of crime prevention program or strategy that is being addressed in the article.
Analyze key findings and recommendations.
Relate crime data from a credible source to the crime prevention program or strategy addressed in the selected article.
Assess the effectiveness of the crime prevention program or strategy discussed in the article with support from data from the selected article and/or data from a credible source.
Cite the source in APA Style as outlined in the University of Arizona Global Campus Writing Center, which is located within the Learning Resources tab on the left navigation toolbar in your online course.
Include in-text citations that refer to the course text as well as a minimum of one credible resource consisting of a federal or state government website that includes content relevant to current crime prevention programs or practices. • Some say that being a police officer will not make you independently wealthy. Many must work off-duty jobs in order to “make the ends meet”. Discuss some of the challenges that off-duty officers may face when responding to a crime in progress? Police officers experience several levels of stress in their daily work. Some stress is good and some bad. Describe the difference between eustress and distress. Discuss why police officers are reluctant to seek stress counseling.

The article must be a current event that was published within four weeks of the due date. Make certain the article is about a criminal event and not a summary of a previous criminal event. You may use the websites of the aforementioned sources or hard copy AND you must attach the article to your assignment. Write a three-page (max.) paper explaining the crime from the classical school and the positivist school perspectives (e.g. introductory statement; body, 1 page for each perspective; and summary statement). Be sure to include the principle tenets of each school of thought as they relate to the criminal event.

Your paper should be written in MS Word format; typed and double-spaced; with 1” margins on all 4 sides of the paper and include a centered title. Any sources used should be properly cited in APA format. Your document must be free of grammatical/spelling errors as well. Please see the Written Assignments Grading Rubric.

Final Proposal Project: The role of artificial intelligence in decision making in criminal justice
Please find the rubric attached as well as all previous submissions towards the final propasal. 
Each student will be required to complete the term project, which is a research proposal written in an APA Style. The project should have at least 8-10 pages of substance not counting the cover and reference page. Please include a Cover Page, an abstract and a list of references. The research proposal you write in this course will NOT be sent to the IRB for approval. This is because you will not be conducting actual research for the purpose of this class.

Please make sure that you are using the course-writing rubric to use as a checklist so that you write a solid paper.
Do not include quotes in your work. The student needs to display good critical thinking skills and not a string of quotes written by published authors. Your proposal is what is needed for a successful research project to be conducted in the future.

Write a 600- to 700-word executive summary to introduce the grant proposal that you have been compiling throughout the course as if you were a grant writer for an agency that supports the selected initiative. This summary will be the first item included in your proposal, followed by the components developed in Weeks 1–4.
In your executive summary, describe the key information from the components of your proposal in the following order:
Describe the organization you selected and the project you are applying for. Summarize the needs statement and explain why the project is important to the affected community.
Summarize what is included in the project activity and how it will be completed. Describe how you will evaluate the success of the outcome of the project.
Summarize the total amount of the anticipated budget for the project and the amount you are requesting from this organization.
Explain why your agency would be the best recipient of the funding for this project. Note the credentials of the individuals who will be influential to the project.
Compile your complete grant proposal. Your proposal should total 3,000–4,000 words and include revisions of previously submitted components based on feedback from your prior assessments. Ensure that it includes all of the following components:
