Write a paper examining the issue of victim blaming. Begin by discussing Mendelsohn’s theory of victimization and Opportunity Theory (Opportunity Model of Victimization). Your discussion of victim blaming should include an overview of this issue in victimology (not simply a personal opinion or a brief definition) and an examination of how it relates to Mendelsohn’s theory and Opportunity Theory.

Preventing School Violence
This assignment is going to require you to think critically about the various factors that influence and contribute school violence and develop a list of ways to prevent violence from within the school, as well as from a community standpoint. I want you to think outside the box, rather than using traditional policies. Develop a list of 5 proposed interventions that administrators, faculty, and staff could employ within the school to prevent violence among youth. Each of these ideas must be supported based on what we have learned about the causes and influences of youth and school violence.
In addition, develop a list of 5 proposed interventions that could be implemented in the community to decrease youth violence and prevent school violence. Again, all propositions must be supported by what we have learned in this chapter. You can format this assignment using a list for your propositions, however you need to provide a supporting discussion following each and those must be in paragraph form. There is no page requirement for this assignment, as long as you provide an explanation and supporting evidence for each of your suggestions.
