  • Title: “A Father’s Love: A Lyrical Reflection on the Bond Between Parent and Child”

Hi! I need a 1.5 spacing on word document 12pt. times new roman font lyrical personal essay NOT an academic essay. It is for mycreative writing class, the professor loves similies and metaphors, anaphoras, (lots of literary devices).  I was going to do it on the songs I loved her first by heratland and god bless the boy by cody johnson to make the essay about the love a father has for his daughter. The song lyrics need to be hyperlinked at the end. It would weave the parent child raltionship through music. do not over use the verb to be, be presice, and use abstract words. songs are the only thing that needs to be hyperlinked.

  • Persuasion: From Personal Experience to Collegiate Level Speeches Persuasion is a fundamental aspect of communication, and it plays a crucial role in our daily lives. Whether we are trying to convince our friends to watch a new movie or

This week, we talked about persuasion, the audience, special occasion speaking, and impromptu.  In each instance of speaking, your audience is a key component, particularly when you are presenting in hopes of persuading them.  In your post in this discussion board, please do two things:
Taking into account the elements of persuasion, the situation–special occasion or not, and the audience you were aiming at, describe a time in your life when you tried to persuade someone.  What went well, what did not go well?  Did you persuade the person.  Given what you now know about persuasion, what would you change?
Give us two examples of collegiate level persuasive speeches with a few sentences justifying why you think it’d be a valuable speech to give.  It doesn’t have to be the speech you give, but it can be if you’d like.
For full credit on this discussion, your post should be a minimum of 100 words, cite at least two sources from the course material (i. e. one chapter and one video). You will also need to provide three responses to peers of at least 50 words, with at least two positive comments and one way a topic could potentially be improved (with a positive approach).

  • Title: From Africa to America: Uncle Moses’ Journey to Becoming a Doctor

Create a Fiction Story about how Uncle Moses(an immigrant) came to the U.S. from Africa, then started a new life with his family more than a decade ago, and eventually became a medical doctor.
    – Try to imagine a day in his life–or an hour–adjusting to the U.S. from Africa; based on anything you know about his African culture, depending on what country he is from. What do you imagine would have been a big culture shock for him; or any big learning experience; how would he have navigated that, considering his temperament and attitude toward life. If he’s like the immigrants in my family, he might have figured he’d get through anything, but there are always hiccups along the way. You can largely make up this story since there is probably a lot you don’t know about him unless he has related a lot of stories. However, you can borrow his character and characteristics to imagine his experience, as if he were another person with another name, but happens to come from your family’s culture. To make it fiction, you can change anything you want about him or his life. It isn’t a long story, and you want to show more than tell.

  • “The Unsolved Murder of Liliana: An Investigation and Commentary on Femicide and Trauma”

In a 5-page creative essay, pretend you are a doctor, detective, friend, or psychologist and have been called in by Cristina, to advise her on her sister’s death. Using your investigative, personal. and/ or professional skills, center on the character of Cristina’s sister, Liliana, as exhibited by the letters, books, and other memorabilia left in her apartment. Even though you may not be able to exactly know why she was murdered and by whom, you are offering a commentary on this criminal act, the area of femicide, and helping to solve a murder.
If you are a friend from childhood, you may be capable of filling in some of the blanks. If you knew her at the university or were her neighbor, perhaps you saw her talking with someone. If you are in law enforcement, maybe you find an important document or file and are able to track down witnesses who may know something. If you are a sociologist, you may be commenting on nefarious social events, on a national/global level which probably have permitted the growth of femicide. As a psychologist, you may be documenting your observations of her particular case and offering some sort of help to the family as they undergo different stages of grief and mourning. Whichever moments from the past, you shared with the author’s sister or her case, might shed light on her killing and help to lessen thefamily’s grief. You do not have to assume all roles. It would be best to choose only one or two. The time period you choose to appear in is up to you. Since the book took many years to write, direct information, such as files, may be missing concerning points of possible investigation. What does this resulting absence tell?
Hearing the author while she speaks about her sister and this book in podcasts, and you tube videos, shows that trauma is also associated with the book and the author. Kai Erickson, sociologist, has written that “trauma is a wound to the psyche that breaks through the subject’s defense so suddenly and brutally that the subject cannot react.” Therefore, Cristina’s text can also be seen through this lens of hurtful and haunted situations/memories.  These elements have definitely been reflected in CRG’s novel, especially regarding society’s norms, law enforcement, and traumatic scenes of violence and power.

  • “Applying Course Concepts to Improve Relationships” In order to have successful and fulfilling relationships, it is important to understand and apply key concepts from our course material. One concept that has greatly impacted my own relationships is the idea of love styles, specifically the

Tip for a good grade:  Here is your chance to demonstrate you understand and can apply course material.  The more you reference specific concepts and terms from the text and lessons, the better your grade will be.  Cite directly from the text.  Do not just rehash or explain what a course concept means–APPLY it to your own relationships.  For example, do not write sentences telling me what Eros style of love is. I know what the lesson notes say.  Instead, explain why you think you or your partner uses (used) Eros style in your relationship and how that affects(ed) your relationship.

  • Title: “Skateboard Solace”

Write this 5 page story The story opens with Alex, a 16-year-old teenager, slumped over his desk in his dull classroom, his mind wandering far from the monotony of school. As the teacher drones on about algebraic equations, Alex doodles in his notebook, sketching out intricate designs of skate parks and imagining himself flying through the air on his skateboard.
After the final bell rings, Alex rushes out of the school building, eager to escape the confines of academia. He grabs his worn skateboard from his locker and heads into the bustling streets of the city. With his headphones blasting his favorite tunes, he feels a sense of freedom wash over him as he weaves in and out of pedestrians, his board an extension of his body.
As Alex explores the city, he discovers hidden gems tucked away in alleyways and side streets. He finds an abandoned parking lot transformed into an impromptu skate park by local graffiti artists, the concrete covered in vibrant colors and intricate designs. With a grin on his face, Alex dives into the makeshift obstacles, perfecting his tricks and flips with each attempt.
As the sun begins to set, Alex’s stomach rumbles, reminding him that he’s been skating for hours without a break. He makes his way to a nearby food truck, where he orders a greasy slice of pizza and a cold soda. Sitting on a nearby bench, he watches the city come alive with the buzz of nightlife, the neon lights reflecting off the pavement.
With a full stomach and a satisfied smile, Alex realizes that despite the pressures of school and the uncertainties of teenage life, he can always find solace in the simple joy of skateboarding. As he rides off into the night, the city lights twinkling above him, he knows that no matter where life takes him, he’ll always have his skateboard and the freedom it brings.
