PART C: Create a Learning Experience around health, safety or nutrition
    Young children are forming their
lifelong habits of health, safety, and nutrition  during these formative
years.  As teachers, we can support children’s                  understanding of these
topics by planning learning experiences across the       curriculum which help
form their lifelong health practices and attitudes.   In this
assignment, you will choose one of the topics: health,
safety, or nutrition and     plan an activity/learning experience that is
developmentally appropriate for     children  3-5 years old.  As you are
planning your activity/learning experience  you will consider skills of
this age group, children’s understanding, children’s       interests, free of
gender, cultural, or personal bias, and integrated across             curriculum
areas. Download the Health, Safety, and Nutrition Activity/Learning  Experience form and complete all areas.
(Part C is already done, it is attached, please implement this into the paper. )
The paper should be formatted as follows:
The introduction (page 1) of your
paper should be a            description of your school.  Include the age of the
children, the ratio of children to teachers, and a philosophy of the
school.  You can be creative for this part.
The following pages (2-4) should be a
description of the   sick policy , food policy  and curriculum.  Explain
why this is an important part of your school to your families.
    The final pages/conclusion will be
how this policy/               curriculum relates to the larger society and community.
For example, you may write about:
Do you have these rules in place to teach children safety or to help them learn about following rules?
Do you have this food policy because you want to set  healthy habits at a young age?
Does your illness policy also affect the community?      Family members?
Include your sick policy, food policy and curriculum
