  • Title: “Implementing a Profitable Climate Solution: A Business Plan for Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions”

    Required Content for Paper and Presentation:
    Describe what your company will do to implement your chosen climate solution.
    Describe how your solution works (i.e. how it avoids or sequesters* CO2 or other greenhouse gasses)
    Describe your business model (how your company will make money). You must come up  
    with a for-profit business model (NOT a nonprofit organization). Remember to include:
    a. What you are selling,
    b.Who your target customers are, and
    c.Why they will want to buy what you’re selling.
    Explain whether any existing businesses are also enacting the same chosen climate solution and how your startup will be similar/different. If there are none, explain how you will cope with the challenges of doing something new.

  • “Critical Thinking and Analysis: Examining Key Concepts in Contemporary Society”

    The final exam consist of 4 essay questions each needed to be no less then 400 words each and must have citations

  • “Debt Relief or Burden Shift: Examining the Pros and Cons of Student Loan Forgiveness”

    During the semester we will discuss the pros and cons of student debt forgiveness.  In early May each student will individually produce a well-reasoned written expository response to the student loan forgiveness issue, using qualitative and quantitative data they provide as evidence to support their conclusions with suggestions for implementation. A grading rubric and guideline describing the detailed requirements of how to produce well-reasoned written arguments using evidence to support conclusions is on Blackboard under Writing Resources. Use of outside sources is required and all sources, including sources of data, should be documented and cited in a Works Cited section at the end of the paper. Type or cut-and-paste your essay on Blackboard. This is due on Blackboard, May 7, 2024. Worth 100 Points (10% of grade).
    THE INSTRUCTOR HAS PROVIDED A NUMBER OF RESOURCES BELOW TO HELP STUDENTS PREPARE FOR IN-CLASS DISCUSSION ON THIS TOPIC AND TO AID IN WRITING THEIR PAPERS TO BE SUBMITTED IN MAY OF 2024. USE OF THESE RESOURCES IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE INDIVIDUAL STUDENT.
