Overview
For behavior analysts, determining the function of problem behavior is necessary to develop effective intervention plans. This is common practice not only in clinical applications but within organizations as well. In this assignment, you will pinpoint a workplace performance problem, assess the reason why the problem exists, and identify strategies to improve performance.
Instructions
Identify a performance problem in your current workplace, a previous workplace, or a hypothetical problem in a fictional workplace. Then complete the following:
Provide a brief description (one paragraph) of the workplace.You might include the size of the organization, industry, management hierarchy, supports and resources, limitations, et cetera.
Pinpoint the performance problem.Precisely define the problem behavior so that it is clear, concise, and countable.
Conduct an assessment to determine the factors contributing to the performance problem.Use the PIC/NIC and PDC Template [DOCX] Download PIC/NIC and PDC Template [DOCX]to complete a PIC/NIC analysis and PDC.
Provide an analysis of the assessment results.
Review the scholarly literature, and identify strategies that would address the performance problem based on the results of the assessment.Your strategies should demonstrate compassionate supervisory practices.
Discuss your personal experience with this assignment. Examples of what you might choose to discuss include the following:Do you believe the organization (real, former, or hypothetical) would consider conducting an assessment and implementing strategies to improve the performance problem? Civil rights law provides for employee protections against discrimination in many situations. The legal criteria must be strictly adhered to in order to qualify for the protections afforded under the law. What happens to civil rights enforcement if a part of the workforce is unprotected by civil rights laws? Will the public policy exception to the employment-at-will doctrine expand to fill gaps in public policy to the point where exclusions will be rendered meaningless?

Some people are exempted from Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This was not the first piece of legislation constructed to help protect against racial discrimination. Some of these laws known as “The Reconstruction of Civil Rights Acts” were created before Title VII, and are still used today! For example, these laws could be used if you were an employee not covered by Title VII. Codified as 42 United States Code sections 1981, 1983, and 1985. They enforce laws that forbid racial discrimination in the creation and enforcement of contracts and prohibit the denial of civil rights based on race by individuals acting on behalf of the government. Specifically, sections 1981 and 1983 are most commonly used outside of Title VII in employment settings. Good evening class,
I loved reading through all of these! Does anyone know where to find examples of the statute of limitations expiring or extending on certain cases? I feel as though these would be beneficial for understanding what would and wouldn’t be acceptable. Especially with how many discrimination cases come up every year and how things can change even in just two years time.
I do feel that navigating the court system and learning how to go about the process can be tricky. If I had not been in the field I were, I would have no idea what my rights or next steps were. My previous employers Human Resources Departments, believe it or not, are not very friendly people. Or in my eyes, were not approachable. This can be very concerning for employees to feel as though they cannot bring any matters to their attention. Hoping to discover what our rights as HR are as well when offering advice.

Mrs. T. is a 62-year-old woman who immigrated from Taiwan with her husband to rejoin their son who moved to the United States for a job eight years ago. Mrs. T. had a difficult time adjusting to life in a new country but was very happy to be reunited with her son and his wife, who are expecting a baby.
