  • “Additional Questions: Density and Volume Calculations”

    Additional Questions (Show Work)
    1. What is the density of a 65.00-g object that is immersed in a graduated cylinder whose
water volume rises from 28.3 mL to 45.6 mL?
    2. A flask that weighs 218.5 g is filled with 125.5 mL of NaCl solution. The total weight of the
flask and NaCl solution is found to be 354.6 g. Calculate the solution density.
    3. Three beakers contain different volumes of water of 8.1 cm3, 0.64 L, and 2.7 dL. If all
three volumes were mixed together in a larger container, what would the final volume in
    milliliters be?
    4. What is the volume of a 0.240-lb sample of ethyl alcohol if its density at the temperature
    in question is 0.739 g/mL?
    5. The usual dose of amoxicillin for children and babies older than 3 months, who weigh
less than 40 kg, is 20 to 40 milligrams (mg) per kilogram (kg) of body weight per day,
divided and administered every 12 hours. If the drug amoxicillin is 125 mg / 2.5 mL oral
suspension, how many teaspoons in 24 hours should be given to a child who weighs 54
pounds for the maximum dose? (One teaspoon is 5 mL)

  • Applying Enterprise Analysis and KPI Milestones in Business Projects Introduction Enterprise analysis is a critical process in business projects that involves identifying and understanding the organization’s goals, objectives, and strategies and aligning them with the project’s objectives. It

Think about a business project on which you have worked. How would you apply an enterprise analysis framework to this project? The BABOK® Guide talks about key performance indicators (KPIs) in Section 10.28 as tools that measure progress toward a strategic goal and aid in enterprise analysis. Discuss how using KPI milestones could also be used by business analysts as a communication tool during the evaluation stage. Why are strong communication skills important to today’s business analysts? In addition to peer-reviewed academic journal articles, back up all opinions with foundation knowledge from the BABOK Guide and in-class lessons.

  • “Reducing the Risk of Patient and Resident Harm from Falls: A PICOT Analysis for Nurses to Guide Quality Improvement”

TOPIC: Reduce the risk of patient and resident harm resulting from falls. TJC Goal 9 for nurses
A PICOT question is utilized to help plan for research i.e, define search terms for a clinical problems and ultimately, hopefully to guide quality improvement and research. The PICOT process requires that key elements be defined. These are Population, Interventions, Comparisons, Outcomes, and Time. Time can be an optional component but only for certain circumstances. If time can be applied to the situation, it needs to be used. You will be formulating your own PICOT question based on a clinical issue. This can be a clinical issue that you already see in nursing practice. ie CAUTI, CLABSI, medication administration errors etc. There are a multitude of clinical issues that could be found.
It can be helpful to do a literature search and to pull articles to further define your clinical issue and PICOT. You may also find multiple ways to write a PICOT. One note about PICOT is that it is important to realize that when we say Population – we are often using it generically and not in its true statistical sense. This is because a PICOT is NOT the actual quality improvement project nor is it actually the research process. The PICOT exists to help with the scientific process of starting a literature search on an issue. If you look up a clinical issue on PubMed and then a few years later, a colleague wants to look up the same issue, you both would want to be able to compare results. For example, if you look up an issue about readmissions and have 81 results but in three years someone looks up readmissions and has 1000 results, other a lot of research was done and published OR the same search terms weren’t utilized. This is where the PICOT can help guide searches.

  • Strategic Human Resources Management and Employee Discipline in Healthcare Organizations

    1. What is meant by strategic human resources management in healthcare
Strategic human resources management develops approaches and methods to support the organization’s business strategies and encourage new ideas (Simpson & Fried, 2021).  Human resource management is a new topic for me, but I can imagine that this includes many different activities for this department to oversee and develop. These activities include management, recruitment, and maintaining and developing staff (Simpson & Fried, 2021). The healthcare industry is constantly changing and becoming more complex, requiring human resources to develop strategies that attract successful and adaptable staff (Nafari & Rezaei, 2022). Organizations can remain competitive and provide quality care by developing and maintaining a strategic human resources strategy.
    2. What are the main roles of healthcare professionals in healthcare organizations?
Healthcare professionals are tasked with studying, diagnosing, treating, and preventing human illness, injury, and other physical and mental impairments (WHO, 2013). There are hundreds of job titles under the healthcare sector, and many are not directly related to patient care, but are considered supporting roles. Our textbook concentrates on nurses, pharmacists, selected allied health professionals, and healthcare administrators. These categories make up majority of healthcare workforce and are crucial to the industry. With a variety of educational and licensing requirements, healthcare professions are optimizing patient care and overall patient health outcomes. There is a rapid growth in healthcare workforce demand and meeting the needs will involve innovation and arriving at solutions that address effective and efficient healthcare delivery while ensuring highly skilled and educated workforce is stable and growing within the industry.
    3. In healthcare, employee discipline needs to be handled quickly and effectively.  Poor performance of an employee may not only decrease patient satisfaction, but it could also be the difference between life and death.
Employee discipline can be based on job performance, poor behavior or detrimental behavior.  A multi-step approach to improving job performance is preferred for the organization.  This will help retain staff that have already been hired instead of starting the process all over again.  An organization can provide additional training tools and motivation to help employees succeed in their positions.  Poor behavior and detrimental behavior are intentional behaviors that would be considered inappropriate in most social situations.  Such as stealing and workplace violence.  Termination is the best course of action for these behaviors (Fried & Fottler, 2015).
Employee discipline can be difficult to do for many reasons.  The behavior is often not addressed in a timely manner, previous performance ratings are inaccurate, and or policies are not being followed.  Supervisors may also not want to create conflict with the employee.  Executives can help reduce these outcomes by providing regular supervisory training about policies and laws, monitoring human resources activities and providing feedback, and having positive employee relations (Fried & Fottler, 2015).

  • Title: “Using Data to Drive Change: Addressing Pressure Ulcer Rates in a Long-Term Care Facility”

As a nurse leader, you will be called upon to collect and analyze data, then to use the data to drive change.
For this assignment, you will be presented with two sets of data. Both sets are representative of the occurrence of pressure ulcers in long-stay nursing home patients.
One set of data (NHQDR) represents national data as compared to the state of Georgia.
The second data set (Medicare.gov) is specific for the nursing home in Georgia where you are the supervisor. View and interpret the data specific to pressure injury rates.
After you interpret the data in Part 1, you will create a staff in-service to address the identified concerns in Part 2
    Pictures attached.

    NHQDR Data Tools

    PART 1:
Using the data provided to you, answer the following questions. Record your answers on a Word document.
As the supervisor of this nursing home, how do you interpret this data? What is it telling you? Give specific examples in your comparison of the data sets.
What are the strengths and weaknesses of the data? Give at least one example of each.
“Any stage 3, stage 4, or unstageable pressure ulcers acquired after admission/presentation to a health care setting” (National Quality Forum, 2016) is considered a ‘Never Event’. What is a ‘Never Event’? What does that mean to your facility? (https://psnet.ahrq.gov/primer/never-events#:~:text=The%20term%20%22Never%20Event%22%20was,surgery%E2%80%94that%20should%20never%20occurLinks to an external site..) https://psnet.ahrq.gov/primer/never-events#:~:text=The%20term%20%22Never%20Event%22%20was,surgery%E2%80%94that%20should%20never%20occur
    PART 2
As the nursing home supervisor, you recognize the need for a process improvement plan based on this data. After speaking to your staff about best practices related to care of the immobilized client, you discover your facility has not been stocking skin barrier cream, and the UAPs have not been repositioning the residents per policy. Instead of taking disciplinary action against the staff at this time, you elect to implement an intensive education effort for the entire facility. RNs, LPNs, and UAPs will attend the same training.
Research and devise a comprehensive education plan to address the frequency of pressure injuries at your facility. The teaching plan should include, at a minimum:
The proper use of barrier cream (How and when is it applied? Who can apply it?)
A minimum of 6 specific complications of immobility (Do not list ‘respiratory complications’. Be specific).
A minimum of 6 interventions to prevent the complications
Proper ergonomics while moving or repositioning clients
A plan to follow-up with your staff to assess the effectiveness of your in-service should also be included. How will you know your interventions were effective? What will you do if you find they were not?
Will turn it to turnitin and AI detector

  • Title: Analyzing Conflict Goals in a Recent Interpersonal Conflict

Think of a conflict you have had within the past 6 months with a friend, family member, or significant other. As you think back on that conflict and the interaction(s) you had with the other person, focus on particular language and behavior that aligns with what you have learned about the four conflict goals described in Interpersonal Conflict.
Create a new Word document and write an analysis of this past conflict by identifying the four conflict goals with specific language and/or behaviors for each goal. Your paper should have an introduction paragraph that provides a brief one or two-sentence description of the context in which the conflict occurred, and then a separate paragraph for each conflict goal. For each conflict goal, provide a brief description of the conflict goal, then provide specific language and/or behavior that matches the conflict goal, and then tell why you believe the language/behaviors illustrate that particular conflict goal. Don’t forget the conclusion paragraph to tie it all together. Be sure to use terms and concepts from the text to clearly demonstrate that you understand these concepts.
    Paper Specs (Specifications)
Put your name and word count in the upper left corner of the paper (200-500 words).
Include an introduction and a conclusion paragraph.
