Develop your vision and approach on the issues. Instructions on how to format your write-up are at the end of this activity prompt.
Your En-ROADS lab assignment will be a 3- to 5-page memo describing your proposal.
Policies: Utilize the En-ROADS Assignment Section One Plan to address the following:
Name of your plan.
Screenshot of the main En-ROADS interface with results.
Bullet points summarizing the most-important policies and outcomes.
Pasted text from Actions & Outcomes documenting assumptions and policy settings used.
Pasted URL of your scenario.
In your Section 1 content, you may also choose to share screenshots of specific graphs that caught your attention and are worth noting. Refer to the Illustrative Example Download Illustrative Exampleincluded with the template for guidance on what your Plan should look like.
Section 2: Meeting the Goals
Climate: How well do you think your proposal does in meeting the Paris climate goals? If it does not meet the goal, why is this acceptable to you?
Economy: If the world followed your recommendations, how would the economy be different at various points in the future, for example, 2030, 2050, and 2100, and so on? In what ways would it be better? In what ways would it be worse?
Equity: How can your proposal strive to increase equity across different nations and different peoples?
Environment: To what extent might your proposal mitigate other environmental challenges (e.g., biodiversity, pollution, water, and air quality)? To what extent might your proposal cause or worsen other environmental problems?
Realism without cynicism: What would it take for your proposal to be realized? What barriers might arise in the implementation of your proposals, and how might they be addressed? To get started, what actions and priorities are needed as soon as possible from businesses, civil society, governments, or the public?
Winners/Losers: Who would be the biggest winners and losers globally in your proposed future? Create a table with two columns for winners and losers.
Section 3: Reflections
Surprises from En-ROADS: What surprised you about the behavior of the energy and climate system as captured in the simulation? For example, what actions had a bigger or smaller effect than you thought? Did you discover why?
Feelings: How did your insights from the model and this assignment make you feel? (feelings as in emotions, not thoughts)
Hope and personal action: Do any trends in the world give you hope that your proposals are possible? What can you personally do to help create the necessary changes?

Personal Nursing Philosophy and its Alignment with a Theoretical Framework “Improving Writing Quality: Addressing APA and Spelling Errors in Policy Recommendations”
You have spent six weeks exploring theories of nursing. These represent the “how” of what we do as nurses. This week we enter a higher level of thought and explore the “why” of what we do. Present a personal nursing philosophy. Apply what you have read throughout the course and explore the literature on nursing philosophy. While Fawcett was not a nursing theorist, she is a nursing philosopher and her Metaparadigm of Nursing approaches philosophy over theory. Once you have discussed your philosophy, identify a theoretical framework (not the middle-range theories but the underlying assumptions in that framework) that fits your philosophy. Compare and contrast your philosophy and the chosen framework. Describe a possible situation in which the framework may conflict or not fit your philosophy. While it is an important skill to be able to match a theory with a situation, it is also critical to understand when a theory or framework does not fit a situation.

“The Harmful Effects of Political Echo Chambers on Social Media: Examining Polarization and the Need for Stronger Thesis and Organization”
i have my professor comments on an essay that I wrote, and I need u to work on his comments my proffessor notes (This is a solid paper overall. It describes the relationship between social media & political echo chambers using scholarly studies. Quotes are on-topic and well-chosen, and sources are explained with some thoroughness. The reasoning is convincing and the prose is clear throughout. This represents an effective start on the project.
Things to work on: – Why is polarization a problem? The evidence in the paper suggests that social media does contribute to echo chambers / separation and potentially polarization. However, the paper needs evidence to support the assertion that this separation / polarization in online political discourse is harmful.
– In general, the paper would benefit from a stronger, clearer organization: it’s not clear why the paragraphs appear in the order that they do, and there are some other structural issues, such as the lack of a clear thesis statement and some repetition of content (see below). One thing that will help with organization is to avoid starting paragraphs with a sentence that refers to a source. Instead, start each body paragraph with a clear transition / topic sentence that makes an assertion entirely in your own voice and then develops that assertion using the source or sources. This helps you clarify the main point of each paragraph and the role it plays in the larger paper. – The paper needs a stronger, united focused thesis statement summing up the nature of the problem and its negative effects. The last two sentences of the very first para. come close; however, thesis statements generally do not use sources.
– In the definition paragraph (3rd para in the paper), Use a source or sources to help define your two key concepts (echo chambers & polarization).
– In paragraph 4, provide further analysis of the source to more effectively link the quote to the surrounding prose: explain more – why do Jiang et al believe that echo chambers have amplified conflict over covid 19?
– You use the exact same quote from Kitchens et al. in two different places in the paper. The explanation following the quote is also the same.
– It seems you are using APA citation style; if so, use it consistently: label the works cited References and use past tense signal verbs when introducing sources.
– Need to analyze the images as evidence in the body paragraphs; don’t just describe them in the captions.) -

“Exploring Modern World History: Figures, Literature, Imperialism, and Globalization” “Maintaining Respectful Communication: The Importance of Civility and Academic Conduct”
For Discussion Board #4, write three (3) posts where you address any of the following five questions. Here are the questions you can address:
Who is your favorite figure from Modern World History? What is appealing for you about this person? An extraordinary monarch or emperor? A brilliant scientist or thinker? A trailblazer of new ideas or breaking cultural/social norms? A literary or artistic genius? An outstanding military figure? Or even an unsung, little recognized figure never given his or her proper acknowledgement? Be sure to build your case with the person’s story and reasons for your admiration.
Recommend for your classmates any literary novels OR paintings to view from any period of Modern World History (1500 to the 21st century). Your geographic range may include Europe, Asia, Africa, or the Americas. For a novel recommendation, after a brief plot synopsis, describe what is engrossing, influential or thematically significant about the novel. Does the novel say anything significant about a famous figure, event, or era from Modern World History? For paintings, identify the work or art and the artist and describe the captivating appeal the painting holds for you. Does it have a way of portraying a famous figure, event, or era from Modern World History? You may also if you wish, cut and paste a Google image of the painting in your answer.
The Age of “New” Imperialism marked a decisive era in Modern World History. For better or worse, Western values, ideas, technology and economic systems spread globally and shaped our present world. Still highly controversial and politically charged, many criticize this period as doing great harm to the world with exploitation and sometime cruel treatment of native subjects, land appropriation, seizure of natural resources, and extinguishing native traditions. But others point out that while acknowledging imperialism’s dark side, this era also brought modernization, technology, education, modern political systems, and reshaping economies that in time would bring colonies (eventual independent nations) wealth and stability. Write your views where you stand on the historical legacy of “New” Imperialism – overall more benefit than harm, condemnation, or something in between. One of the major events shaping and defining the modern world was globalization, the process of now knowing the full geographic world, connecting previously isolated continents and peoples, and creating a fully integrated and interactive world. Features and institutions such as transportation, communication, economies/trade, ideas/information, relationships, love/hate, war, disease, and even terrorism have a global reach. Write your views on what you believe (you can address one or several) are the greatest triumphs, advantages/disadvantages, challenges or even tragedies of living in the Age of Globalization. Throughout this course we have learned how specific forces and events shaped the direction of Modern World History. Based upon your understanding and reflection of such topics like the Age of Exploration, Scientific Revolution, Age of Enlightenment, French Revolution, Napoleonic Era, Industrial Revolution, and “New” Imperialism do you believe either 1) individuals, 2) technology, or 3) ideas have exerted the greatest impact upon shaping Modern World History. You may argue one choice or rank and discuss all three. Here are your instructions and criteria for this Discussion Board:
You must have three (3) separate posts. Each post is worth five (5) points each for a total of 15 points for Discussion Board #4.
Provide insightful and well-reasoned support in your posts. Show serious reflection of thought. Each written post should be between 75-150 words. You may write more, but don’t be excessive; don’t write less than this word minimum; this word range should be enough to develop your ideas concisely.
Remember don’t copy and paste material from the internet. Your posts must be your own original writing.
Remember to follow the rules of civility and proper academic conduct in your posts. Avoid vulgarity, rudeness, and insensitive language. -
