    Forms of mate selection
    Communication patterns
Types of conflict (using the concepts in the textbook)
Sources of stress in the family
    Strengths of the family
    Needs in the family
Impact of religion and spirituality on the family
Summarize your paper with four to five goals for change, which will further strengthen the family.
Background information about me to assist essay:
I am a 25-year-old biracial woman raised in the Methodist faith as the eldest of three daughters. Although my biological father was from my mother’s previous relationship, the man I consider my dad made the incredibly meaningful decision to adopt me when I was one year old after marrying my mother. Despite not being related by blood, he chose to be a father figure in my life. My upbringing was moderately strict initially, but as my sisters and I grew older, our parents became more lenient. While we could improve how we approach disagreements by prioritizing resolution over being correct, a significant strength is the unwavering support and presence we provide one another as a family unit. The role my adoptive father took on by choice is invaluable, and I view him as my dad in every sense of the word.

  • “Enhancing IT Security: The Benefits and Challenges of Organizing Policies by Domain”

    Greetings class,
Organizing IT security policies by domain offers improved clarity and focus, ensuring that each policy is tailored to address specific security needs and risks associated with distinct areas of the organization. This approach allows for more relevant and actionable guidelines, making it easier for employees to understand and adhere to security measures. Additionally, segmenting policies by domain enhances manageability, as each domain can be independently updated, audited, and revised, streamlining the compliance and review processes. Organizing IT security policies by domain ensures comprehensive coverage, clear responsibilities, and scalability, enabling the organization to adapt its security measures as it grows or changes.
While organizing IT security policies by domain offers clarity and focus, it also presents the disadvantage of potential fragmentation and inconsistency. Each domain-specific policy might develop independently, leading to overlaps, gaps, or contradictions between policies in different domains. This can confuse employees navigating multiple policies, potentially undermining overall security effectiveness. Maintaining and updating numerous domain-specific policies can also become resource-intensive and complex, requiring coordinated efforts to ensure alignment and coherence across the organization.
Due to its dynamic and boundary-spanning nature, applying security policies can be particularly challenging in the “Remote Access” domain. Remote access involves securing connections from various locations, devices, and networks, each with different security postures. The diversity of endpoints, from home offices to mobile devices, introduces numerous vulnerabilities that are harder to manage and control. Ensuring secure remote access requires robust encryption, multi-factor authentication, and constant monitoring to detect and mitigate threats in real time. Moreover, the difficulty is compounded by the rapid evolution of remote work technologies and the increasing sophistication of cyber threats. Employees’ adherence to security practices while working remotely can be inconsistent, adding another layer of complexity.

  • “Strengthening Information Security: An Analysis of the CA Family of Controls and Their Role in Protecting Organizations’ Information and Information Systems” Talking Points: 1. The CA family of security controls, as outlined in NIST SP

For this week’s discussion you are asked to create a 3-5 paragraph “talking points” paper in which you discuss the (CA) family of security controls. You should identify and discuss at least three specific controls from this family. Focus on how these controls provide for implementation of assessment, authorization, and monitoring functions to protect the organization’s information and information systems. CA-5, for example, calls for developing a specific plan of action and milestones to track security controls implementation. CA-2 requires that all security controls be assessed to determine if they are working as intended.
Your talking points will be incorporated into a budget presentation and, for that reason, should support (explain) the Office of Risk Management’s planned activities in this area for the next fiscal year. Full paragraphs are preferred for a talking points paper, but you may use a limited number of bullet points. Remember to use and cite authoritative sources in your work. Place your list of references at the end of your paper.
Remember to submit your discussion response to the Turn It In for Discussions assignment folder. See the forum instructions for more information.
For your critiques, focus on providing suggestions for strengthening the original poster’s analysis of the CA controls. Include at least 3 examples and/or content suggestions supported by your own readings (include citations and references for authoritative sources). For full credit, a total of two critiques and two additional responses or follow-up postings are required in addition to your main posting.
In the discussion for this week, you and your peers will be analyzing the CA family of security controls. These controls provide for implementation of assessment, authorization, and monitoring functions to protect information and information systems. CA-5, for example, calls for developing a specific plan of action and milestones to track security controls implementation. CA-2 requires that security controls be assessed to determine if they are working as intended.
