One application of artificial intelligence in healthcare for managing chronic illness is in diabetes care. Diabetes is a prevalent chronic condition requiring constant monitoring and management to prevent complications. AI can assist both healthcare providers and patients in various aspects of diabetes care.
For healthcare providers, AI-powered systems like the GlucoMe platform utilize machine learning algorithms to analyze continuous glucose monitoring data, insulin dosages, dietary habits, and physical activity levels to provide personalized treatment recommendations and predict blood glucose levels. By integrating with electronic health records, these AI systems can assist providers in making informed decisions about medication adjustments, lifestyle modifications, and preventive measures to optimize diabetes management (Glucome, n.d.).
Additionally, AI-enabled chatbots and virtual assistants can offer real-time support to patients with diabetes, providing education on self-management techniques, reminders for medication adherence and appointments, and instant responses to queries about diet, exercise, and glucose monitoring. These AI resources empower patients to take control of their health by providing personalized guidance and encouragement, thereby improving their self-efficacy and adherence to self-care practices (Zhou, 2020).
However, there are potential drawbacks and risks associated with the use of AI in diabetes care. One concern is the accuracy and reliability of AI algorithms, as inaccuracies or biases in data analysis could lead to incorrect treatment recommendations or decisions. Moreover, privacy and security issues may arise from the collection and storage of sensitive patient data by AI systems, necessitating robust measures to safeguard patient confidentiality and compliance with regulatory standards such as HIPAA.
Furthermore, the cost of implementing AI-driven diabetes management solutions, including software licensing fees, hardware infrastructure, and staff training, may pose a barrier to widespread adoption, particularly in resource-constrained healthcare settings. Therefore, careful evaluation of the cost-effectiveness and clinical utility of AI applications is essential to ensure their value in improving outcomes for patients with chronic illnesses like diabetes.

“Fact Sheet: The Prevalence and Correlates of Cybercrime Victimization”
In this assignment, you will start doing the research to identify relevant and recent facts and figures related to the type of victimization you chose for your fact sheet. Area 2 (Facts & Fictures) Fact Sheet requirements are:
Include incidence and/or prevalence estimates of the type of victimization, as well as statistics about important patterns and correlates of the type of victimization
Include at least five (5) relevant and recent facts and figures from at least three (3) original sources
No more than one fact or figure can be from an assigned reading in the course
Facts and figures do not have to be specific to your assigned location
Incidence and prevalence estimates should be the most recent available – preferably in the last two years, but no less than 10 years old
For this assignment, you will submit five relevant and recent facts and figures from at least three original sources, with the original sources being cited in APA Style, on this template. It is perfectly acceptable for the five facts and figures to come from four or five original sources instead of three (in other words, if you can have five facts and figures, each from a different source). The point is to get the most relevant and recent facts and figures, and it is very likely there is no source that gives you more than one relevant fact or figure.
Template is attached below
Note from the Professor: “I would suggest trying to focus on either cybercrime in general, or a specific type of cyber crime- such as stalking and identify theft. I would also like to see more information on rates, and demographics, and resources for victims to cyber crime.” -

INTRODUCTION:
The first step in psychological research is to select a topic of interest and review the existing literature. The purpose of the literature review is to show what is currently known about a topic and to identify a gap in the literature or a weakness that requires additional studies to address. In this assessment, you’ll write a literature review and begin creating an experiment.
Note: The assessments throughout this course build on one another. It’s highly recommended that you complete them in order.
Note: The data for the study has already been collected; you will review pre-existing data as you move through the assessments in this course.
During this course, you will be designing and conducting a study based on pre-existing data and analyzing the results. Each assessment will work together to help you through this process, so it is important to complete the assessments in order.
PREPARATION:
You will use APA’s Online Psychology Laboratory (OPL) for this assessment. See the link in your APA Online Psychology Laboratory reading list.
Start by going to APA’s OPL and creating an account. This is a free account and doesn’t take long to set up.
From within the APA Online Psychology Lab, go to Experiments. Then select one of the following experiments:
Be a Juror.
Numerical Memory.
Facial Recognition.
These three options have been chosen because they will simplify the research design process for you. Review the brief guides below for information on variables and analysis that may help you pick which of these 3 selected experiments you are most interested in reviewing:

Non-Christian Worldview: A Perspective on the Five Worldview Questions
Research Paper: Non-Christian Worldview Assignment
Overview
In this assignment, you will learn and articulate how a worldview of your choice (one of four options) would answereach of the five worldview questions. You should not only know what you believe but what people from other worldviews believe as well. This becomes essential in sharing your beliefs with them. However, you should never assume what a person believes based upon the worldview they claim to follow i.e. Secular Humanism, Hinduism, Buddhism, or Islam. For example, do all Christians have the same religious beliefs? No. Neither do followers of other worldviews. That is why it is important to build a relationship with them first, so you know what they believe and why they believe it.
Instructions
For this assignment, you are to choose one of four worldviews (Secular Humanism, Hinduism, Buddhism, or Islam) and learn and articulate how that worldview would answer the five worldview questions (400 – 500 words). Review chapters four and five of Finding Your Worldview: Thinking Christianly about the World for content and clarity to these questions.
• Cover page – This is the first page to be included in your paper. This should be formatted according to the style (APA, MLA, Turabian) that you will be using for this assignment. Refer to the Writing Style Guide sample paper of the style you are using to format this page. If you are using APA, an Abstract is not required.
• Content pages – These pages will contain your content and fulfill the requirements listed below. A word count is required after each assignment.
(400 – 500 words) Choose one of the four worldviews (Secular Humanism, Hinduism, Buddhism, or Islam), and in five separate paragraphs, answer the worldview questions of Origin, Identity, Meaning (Purpose), Morality, and Destiny from that worldview’s perspective. Identify the worldview you have chosen in your content. Use and cite content from at least three sources. At least one of the sources must be outside of the materials used in this course (this would include the Bible, any required reading or videos, and the required textbooks). Since this content would not be considered “common knowledge” be sure to cite specific content that you put in your own words or quotes you add to your assignment to avoid plagiarism.
The Question of Origin – (What is the origin of the universe, etc.? How did humanity come into existence?)
The Question of Identity – (What does it mean to be human? Are humans more important than other living things?)
The Question of Meaning/Purpose – (What is humanity’s purpose?)
The Question of Morality – (What is meant by right and wrong? How is morality determined?)
The Question of Destiny – (What happens when a person dies?)
Note: Do not include the questions below in your answers. Just provide the content asked by these questions.
• Reference/Works Cited/ Bibliography page
A Reference, Works Cited, or Bibliography page must be included based on the style you have chosen to format your paper (APA, MLA, or Turabian). Select the Writing Style Guide link on the Course Menu to find sample papers that will guide you through formatting this page and your paper. -
Assessing the Impact of a Patient, Family, or Population Problem on Quality of Care, Patient Safety, and Costs: A Practicum Experience Title: Addressing Patient, Family, or Population Problems to Improve Quality of Care, Patient Safety, and Reduce Costs in Nursing Practice
PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS, SEE ATTACHMENTS, AND FOLLOW RUBRIC FOR DISTINGUISH SCORE
In a 5–7 page written assessment, assess the effect of the patient, family, or population problem you’ve previously defined on the quality of care, patient safety, and costs to the system and individual. Plan to spend approximately 2 direct practicum hours exploring these aspects of the problem with the patient, family, or group you’ve chosen to work with and, if desired, consulting with subject matter and industry experts.
Introduction
Organizational data, such as readmission rates, hospital-acquired infections, falls, medication errors, staff satisfaction, serious safety events, and patient experience can be used to prioritize time, resources, and finances. Health care organizations and government agencies use benchmark data to compare the quality of organizational services and report the status of patient safety. Professional nurses are key to comprehensive data collection, reporting, and monitoring of metrics to improve quality and patient safety.
Preparation
In this assessment, you’ll assess the effect of the health problem you’ve defined on the quality of care, patient safety, and costs to the system and individual. Plan to spend at least 2 direct practicum hours working with the same patient, family, or group. During this time, you may also choose to consult with subject matter and industry experts.
To prepare for the assessment:
Review the assessment instructions and scoring guide to ensure that you understand the work you will be asked to complete and how it will be assessed.
Conduct research of the scholarly and professional literature to inform your assessment and meet scholarly expectations for supporting evidence.
Review the Practicum Focus Sheet: Assessment 2 [PDF] (SEE ATTACHMENT) , which provides guidance for conducting this portion of your practicum.
Note: As you revise your writing, check out the resources listed on the Writing Center’s Writing Support page.
Instructions
Complete this assessment in two parts.
Part 1
Assess the effect of the patient, family, or population problem you defined in the previous assessment on the quality of care, patient safety, and costs to the system and individual. Plan to spend at least 2 practicum hours exploring these aspects of the problem with the patient, family, or group. During this time, you may also consult with subject matter and industry experts of your choice. Use the Practicum Focus Sheet: Assessment 2 [PDF] (SEE ATTACHMENT) provided for this assessment to guide your work and interpersonal interactions.
Part 2
Report on your experiences during your first 2 practicum hours, including how you presented your ideas about the health problem to the patient, family, or group.
Whom did you meet with?
What did you learn from them?
Comment on the evidence-based practice (EBP) documents or websites you reviewed.
What did you learn from that review?
Share the process and experience of exploring the influence of leadership, collaboration, communication, change management, and policy on the problem.
What barriers, if any, did you encounter when presenting the problem to the patient, family, or group?
Did the patient, family, or group agree with you about the presence of the problem and its significance and relevance?
What leadership, communication, collaboration, or change management skills did you employ during your interactions to overcome these barriers or change the patient’s, family’s, or group’s thinking about the problem (for example, creating a sense of urgency based on data or policy requirements)?
What changes, if any, did you make to your definition of the problem, based on your discussions?
What might you have done differently?
Requirements
