Act 2 features a lot of stage time for Polonius, beginning as it does, with the corrupt transaction with his “spy,” and ending with his decision to use his daughter as “bait” to trap Hamlet. What do you make of this guy, the powerful Lord Chamberlain and Councillor to the throne of Denmark? If his name is deliberately derived from the Latin “Polonia,” for “Poland,” and knowing that King Hamlet defeated Poland militarily, how do we see his obsequious service to the Claudius. What survival strategies does he adopt? If Ophelia will be bait to trap Hamlet, so too are Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, hired by the King and Queen. Horatio would seem to be the only honest man, and the only true friend Hamlet has. How do we see him develop from Act 1 to Act 2? Again, these questions are just some thoughts to think about. The journal is a place for your thoughts to roam freely.

“The Symbolism of the House in Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Fall of the House of Usher”: A Close Reading Analysis”
The close reading paper asks you to explicate/analyze in detail a short passage from one of the works we have read in the course.
Edgar Allan Poe, “The Fall of the House of Usher”
Begin by selecting a passage. Closely analyze a theme, image, or other meaningful pattern that you notice in the passage. How does what you have noticed in this passage relate to the overall design, structure, and/or meaning of the larger text? What are the larger implications of your analysis—both for understanding the passage and the whole work and for considering the place of the work in a broader context of other fiction like it?
As you draft your essay, think carefully about how you will identify and incorporate the passage into your argument. Should you integrate it in its entirety as a long quotation in your introduction? Should you announce it in another way in the introduction? What context does your reader need for understanding the passage and the text from which it comes? Should you not bother with a long quotation of the passage, but bring in relevant parts of the passage as you are analyzing them? Note that you may need to draft the full essay before you determine how best to handle the identification and incorporation of the passage itself.
Do not forget that I am looking for a traditional literary critical argument in this assignment. By “literary critical argument,” I mean that I am expecting you to craft an essay that
presents an introduction that concludes with a thesis statement announcing your interpretive claim about the passage,
proceeds to develop its argument through a series of clearly related body points that cite and analyze specific evidence from the text (and, if needed, other sources), and
ends with a substantive conclusion that spells out the larger implications of your analysis.
In-text parenthetical citations and works cited entries should follow standard MLA style. -

Grade level and startdard selected
Grade level: Kindergarden
Standard 3: Number and Operations in Base Ten (NBT)
K.NBT.B.2
I have attached the template for this assignment below and also a previous assignment from week 2 to be used.
For this assignment, use the “3 Day Unit Plan Template” to create a three-day unit plan based on the standard and objective from your Topic 2 assignment. You will use the lesson plan you previously created as one day of your unit plan and complete the other two days as part of the same unit. All lesson plans in your unit should focus on the same standard but should build in complexity as the unit progresses. Objectives, vocabulary, activities, formative assessments, and differentiation will be individualized for each lesson. Include the following in your unit:
Title of Unit and Brief Summary: Create a title for your unit and give a brief summary of each lesson based on the selected standard.
Classroom and Student Factors/Grouping: Summarize classroom and student factors or use the class profile for the selected grade level.
State Learning Standards: Use the standard selected in Topic 2.
Specific Learning Targets/Objectives: Aligned to the selected standard and increasing in complexity on each day of the unit.
Academic Language: Key vocabulary for each lesson.
Unit Resources, Materials, Equipment, and Technology needed for each day of the unit.
Depth of Knowledge Lesson Questions: Include 2-3 DOK questions on each day of the unit. DOK levels should progress throughout the unit: Day 1 should focus on DOK Level 1, Day 2 should focus on DOK Level 2, and Day 3 should focus on DOK Level 3 and Level 4.
Anticipatory Set: Explain how you will introduce each lesson and activate prior knowledge to trigger students’ curiosity and engagement in the lesson.
Multiple Means of Representation: Explain how you will present the content for each lesson in various ways to meet the needs of different learners.
Multiple Means of Engagement: Explain how you will provide students with opportunities to explore, practice, and apply the content.
Multiple Means of Expression: Describe a formative assessment that you will use on Day 1 and Day 2 to monitor student progress and modify instruction. Describe a summative assessment you will use on Day 3 to assess student learning of the unit standard and objectives.
Differentiation: Explain how you will differentiate instruction for ELL students, students with special needs, students with gifted abilities, and early finishers.
Extension Activity or Homework: Create meaningful extension activities that can be completed in the classroom or at home that will allow students to further explore the objectives.
In a 250-500 word reflection, explain how your unit plan is developmentally appropriate for the selected grade level and how it provides meaningful learning progressions adapted to meet the needs of all students based on central concepts, methods, and tools of inquiry of the academic disciplines.
Support the lesson plan with 2-3 resources, including citations for the standards used to create the lesson.

Exploring the Intersection of Forensic Psychology and Victimology: A Critical Analysis of Recent Research and Practice
When looking at the psychology journals, the Journal of Forensic Psychology Research and Practice. The Journal of Forensic Psychology covers numerous academic fields: Research and Practice, including clinical psychology, law, criminology, sociology, forensic psychology, counseling psychology, and sociology. Promoting justice and social change gives forensic psychology practitioners a place to debate recent developments and research, fosters the original study, and critically examines new information (Taylor & Francis Online, n.d.).
An article titled Coherence in Children’s Reports of Sexual Abuse: Age, PTSD, and Questioning Style by Miragoli et al. (2019). The article covers an analysis of 82 child witness depositions, which revealed that age and narrative coherence were positively correlated, but age and post-traumatic symptomatology were negatively correlated. Coherence was affected more favorably by free invites and closed-ended questions than by open-ended ones. Understanding these factors is essential to enhancing child victims’ safety and assistance (Miragoli et al., 2019).
Victimology is a rapidly expanding field of study that combines sociology, criminology, psychology, and criminal justice to investigate the reasons behind crime. The majority of the data used in Victimology comes from the National Crime Victimization Survey, with a focus on nonheterosexual people, children, women, the elderly, immigrants, and victims of violent crimes (Troshynski, 2022). As a future forensic psychologist, I plan to focus primarily on Victimology, and the journal I looked at showed a lot of articles surrounding Victimology. Learning about these things allows you to see what you could enter or see within the field.

“Collaborating with Parents: Developing a School Counseling Brochure to Inform and Advocate for Student Success”
In accordance with ASCA Ethical Standards for School Counselors (2016), school counselors
must recognize their duty to collaborate with parent/ guardians when providing services to minor
students in schools (B.1.a). Furthermore, an ethical school counselor must inform parents/
guardians of the mission of the school counseling program as well as academic, career, and
social/ emotional program standards that promote and enhance learning for all students (B.1.e).
One way to inform stakeholders of the services a comprehensive school counseling program
offers is to develop a school counseling brochure. A school counseling brochure is also an
excellent advocacy tool for your program.

Title: “Exploring Germany’s Federal System of Government: An Analysis of its Impact on Political Stability”
My research question is ”
How does Germany’s federal system of government contribute to its political stability?”
I already have most of my paper written but I need more sources. Preferably from google scholar.
I need the introduction to lead off with something interesting about my topic.
Needs to have cited source page
The research question
Over the course of the quarter, you have, or you will, think about something you want to understand more about your state. Perhaps it is why are there so few women who serve in party leadership, or why the state has embraced democratic socialism, or why are coups frequent. In this part, the sky’s the limit. By May 19, I expect you to share with me your initial question, so I can review and help refine the question you propose to research.
The hypothesis
A good portion of your paper should provide background information about your question. If you are looking at women in the legislature, I would want to see you write about the history of women serving in your nation’s legislature. You may also want to look at how the rates of women serving in similar or neighboring countries. You may want to look at candidates. Whatever you do, I want to see sufficient information that leads you to a well-developed, well-informed hypothesis.
I do expect you to do some research to get this background information. Google Scholar is your friend. The databases I have introduced you to over the course of the quarter are your friend.
The research method
Finally, I want you to think about which research methods you would use to answer your question. Would you do a single case study? Would you compare one or two states? Would you want to compare many states? Would you use existing data? Do you need to conduct interviews? Do you need to analyze primary source materials? I want you to both describe the method and respond to the methodological questions and concerns that you read about in chapter 1 of your text and we talked about in week 1.
