Competency 1 Statement
Utilizing statistical and data analytic frameworks, you will be able to evaluate and analyze the role big data plays in business decision-making. You will also demonstrate the ability to analyze and graphically describe key business data in Excel, allowing business leaders to achieve competitive advantage.
Reflection
Consider the following:
How is data analytics different from statistics?
What are the main differences between descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics tools?
How do businesses use analytics to convert raw operational data into actionable information?
Reflect on the following in a minimum of 500 words.
Think about the organization you work for (or any other organization you are familiar with). Does the organization use data analytics?
If so, how is it used? How can the organization improve the way it uses data analytics? What opportunities is the organization missing out on?
If not, how could data analytics be used to improve the organizations performance?

Operations/Supply Chain Management Plan for XYZ Company: Enhancing Customer Experience and Sustainability in the Manufacturing Industry
You are to build an Operations/Supply Chain Management Plan for the company you used in Assignment 2. The company was an actual business either a product or a service with sales between $500,000 to and $10 million. The purpose of the Signature Assignment is to have students show the entire supply chain (in graphics as well as an 8 – 10-page paper) of how materials are sourced, developed, built, packaged, stored, packaged, transported and stored and to develop the customer experience feedback loop. You are to include sustainability issues as well as cost of goods sold (COGS). This paper is not just to report on an existing company (although you must do that). Additionally you are to identify a problem that this company is experiencing or an opportunity that the company might consider. This problem or opportunity may be included in a Recommendations section for this paper, but the recommendations section of the paper is not to be more than one page of the eight to ten pages of the paper). Part of this assignment will be a visual display of the supply chain for your chosen organization. See the PowerPoint in Week 8 documents for lots of options for what a supply chain can look like. You are not to choose one of the visual displays on the PowerPoint, but to research and analyze your chosen company and build a supply chain (based upon your research) of what the company you have chosen supply chain looks like. The visual display should in some ways connect with the eight to ten page paper and you may refer to the visual display in the paper.

Title: “The Power of Storytelling: A Review of the Effectiveness of Using Children’s Books to Teach about the Legal System” a) The reform that I have selected is the use of children’s books to educate children about the legal
Select one reform that aims to help educate children about the legal system. It can be a formal educational reform (such as a program instituted by the courts to help kids learn more about the process) or an informal reform (such as a children’s book or movie that teaches about a legal concept). This reform must teach kids about the legal system specifically.
It can be an aspect of the legal system that we covered in one of the modules or a new aspect.
a) give a basic overview of that reform (state the name of the reform and how it works); (b) explain how this particular reform is supported by psychological research; and (c) review whether you think this is an effective reform.
No more than half of your presentation should go to summarizing the reform. The assignment is less about describing the reform and more about applying what you have learned in this class to the reform.
Make sure you evaluate the reform based on research you have read in this class, other classes, or looked up on your own. There is a research guide available for this class via the FIU Library. Login to the library website and access our class research guide.
You must include research in your presentation. You do not have to provide full citations, but you should say things like: “Research by Goldfarb and colleagues found that…” or “According to chapter 5 in our textbook….” or “A 2006 study by Eberhardt reported that…” -
