  • “Analyzing the Relationship between Epidemiology and Public Health: Using the PERIE Model to Address a Health Issue”

As a public health analyst (currently reporting to an epidemiologist), you will focus on analyzing the relationship between epidemiology and public health. Your skill in public health is essential to promoting health in your community, regardless of which health care sector your future career takes you to. The PERIE model is a tool you’ll use to analyze each component of a given health issue for successful implementation through action plans and positive change outcomes.
    Preparation
Review the PERIE model and process described in Ch. 2, “Evidence-Based Public Health,” of your course textbook, Public Health 101: Improving Community Health (3rd ed.).
“Public health is first and foremost a state responsibility. States may retain their authority, voluntarily request, or accept help from the federal government, or delegate their responsibility and/or authority to locate agencies at the city, county, or other local levels” (Riegelman & Kirkwood, 2019, p. 251).
Using the issue or disease you chose for your Wk 1 Summary – Government Management of Health Issue assignment, create a 12- to 16-slide Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation with speaker notes to summarize your findings. In your presentation:
Explain epidemiology and its relationship to public health.
Analyze your selected health issue using the PERIE model.
    Problem
Describe the selected issue or disease.
Identify the underlying nature and cause of the selected issue or disease.
    Etiology
Analyze the uses and effects of demographic data, surveillance data, and vital statistics in public and community health.
Identify the demographics and effect of the selected issue or disease on the community.
    Recommendations
Analyze possible solutions for the selected issue or disease.
Choose the best possible solution with the available information and provide a justification.
    Implementation
Describe the coordination between community and state that would need to occur to implement the chosen solution.
Explain the resources (e.g., funding) needed to successfully implement the solution.
    Evaluation
Describe the measurable outcomes on the solution’s success or possibility of success (e.g., number of provided screenings).
Recommend additional suggestions for treatment or resolution.
Format your references according to APA guidelines.

  • “Exploring the Impact of Cultural Differences on Interpersonal Communication: A Qualitative Study”

there is an indicative structure that I will also recommend to you.
    1. Introduction
    2. Theoretical Framework
    3. Previous Research
    4. Methodology
    5. Results
    6. Discussion
    7. Limitations
    8. References
The interviews are in Greek language. I have to translate them and upload the files.
    This is my tutor’s message:
you should find a bibliography related to your
topic. Maybe previous research, theories trying to explain this
phenomenon. This will help you frame your subject and organize it. For
    starters, think:
-which of the two questions/cases you would like to investigate
-what will be your theoretical framework
(which theories of psychology could provide an explanation)
-what will your sample be (how will you approach the people you will interview?)
-what method will you use (reasonably semi-structured interview)
    -how
will you decide which questions to ask? (you should see what questions
other researchers have used in previous research in order to form
similar questions for your semi-structured interview)

  • “Exploring [Topic]: Part I – Introduction and Background”

I am currently having the first part of the paper written. Once it is finished and my professor approves my topics, I can upload the first portion of the project.

  • “Passion, Perseverance, and Potential: Why I Deserve to be Selected for a Nursing Scholarship”

I decided to major in nursing because it’s a career that provides meaningful work, career opportunities diverse specialty options with a flexible schedule and to help others in their time of need. After graduation I plan to work at bedside for 2 years to receive good skills and experience before I take an travel assignment. I don’t have a specific unit just yet. Why should I be selected? I feel like i deserve this scholarship because I love to learn, I enjoy being in the healthcare and I’m able to preserve through any challenges. What strengths do I have? I have maintained confidence, I’m over baseline for stress management, I’ve planned accordingly with my time management and delegation. An obstacle that may have a negative effect on my performance would be overthinking not getting help unmotivated and feel like giving up when I didn’t make the grade I wanted to on the test.

  • Notetaking Form for Informative Texts

This lesson will teach you the important skill of taking notes using the SQ3R Method for reading and notetaking strategy.
    In this lesson, you will:
Read the three (3) articles on your topic from the OCCC library databases.
Use the SQ3R Strategy to read informative text.
    Take notes on your articles.
    What is SQ3R?
SQ3R is a strategy to use when reading informative texts such as articles, textbook chapters, brochures, etc. to collect the most important information to use in writing or for a test. This method helps break down unfamiliar information into smaller sections, which makes the text easier to read and understand.
After taking notes using the SQ3R Strategy to read and take notes, you will have all of the information needed to compile and create an outline to use when drafting the Informative work
If you need extra help with MLA citations, in-text citations, or formatting, reach out to your instructor and/or get free tutoring at the OCCC Writing Center.

  • “Exploring the Elements and Principles of Art in Douglas Schnieder’s ‘Viveka’: A Comparative Analysis and Examination of Continuity in Art Traditions” Title: “The Contemporary Tapestry: A Reflection of Pop Art and Postmodern Influences in Schneider’s Work”

1.write a simple art analysis where you will cover what you
know and understand about artwork that you selected. Make sure you include what you
see, and further read about the masterpiece. You will need information about the visuals,
as well as the historical context.
    2. Continue your statement by comparing the selected piece with another artwork (it can be any
medium, any artist, any time period, it can be from the list, or outside of the list)
    3. Finish your paper by describing how the artwork that you selected demonstrated a continuity of
traditions in art, and how it impacted or influenced future pieces.
    4. The paper can be written in APA or MLA format , just make sure that it includes the proper
    citation
What to keep in mind for writing a formal analysis of an artwork?
    General Information
    1. In many cases, this information can be found on a label or in a gallery guidebook. There may be an artist’s statement available in the
gallery. If so, indicate in your text or by a footnote or endnote to your paper where you got the information.
    2. Subject Matter (Who or What is Represented?)
    3. Artist or Architect (What person or group made it? Often this is not known. If there is a name, refer to this person as the artist or architect,
not “author.” Refer to this person by their last name, not familiarly by their first name.)
    4. Date (When was it made? Is it a copy of something older? Was it made before or after other similar works?)
    5. Provenance (Where was it made? For whom? Is it typical of the art of a geographical area?)
    6. Location (Where is the work of art now? Where was it originally located? Does the viewer look up at it, or down at it? If it is not in its
original location, does the viewer see it as the artist intended? Can it be seen on all sides, or just on one?)
    7. Technique and Medium (What materials is it made of? How was it executed? How big or small is it?)
    example)
Within the oil painting, “Viveka”, made in 1999 by Douglas Schnieder, one can see a blindfolded woman off to the right side of the canvas, facing in the direction of what appears to be part
of a house. Multiple views of the house are represented; however, no part of the house is fully painted. The woman’s arm also appears to be purposely left unpainted. There is a red
outline of the woman overlapping part of the house on the right side of the canvas.
    Paragraph 1:
-Artist, Title, Date, Medium -Description of the artwork.
Along the bottom, the letters “P”, “A”, “S”, “S” appear to have been stenciled in red and are evenly spaced, spreading from the left side all the way to the right side of the painting.
In this painting, the three Elements of Art that are the most apparent are color, line, and value. It appears that most primary colors have been used to complete the painting. Variations of
red, blue, and yellow make up the views of the houses, as well as the womanʼs dress and faint outlines on both the woman and the house. Brighter, warmer colors, such as yellows and
whites, are in the foreground on the house and woman, while darker versions of red and blue exist in the background.
    Paragraph 2:
-List 3 most important Elements of Art
-Go into detail about the most important, visible, and most used element of design.
While lines may not be as plentiful in the painting as shapes and colors, they stand out among the larger, filled-in areas. Red outlines make up a simplified and smaller rendering of the
woman on the left side of the piece and can be seen again in an outlined blindfold covering the womanʼs eyes. Parts of her arms have not been filled in with color, and have been left as
transparent shapes, marked only by dark contour lines. Lower on the painting, we see an outline of part of the house.
    Paragraph 3:
List the 3 most important Principles of Art
Go into detail about the most important, and most used element of design.
The painting, “Viveka”, is both a perceptual and an expressive piece of art. Integrating abstract expressionism, conceptual art, and Pop art, Schneider’s influences are as wide-ranging as
his interests and methods. The juxtaposed imagery in his work and the repetition of iconic objects recalls Pop pioneers like Warhol and James Rosenquist as well as postmodern painters
like David Salle, Gerhard Richter, and Lari Pittman, while his fearless way of reaching across styles, time periods, and media reflects a wholly contemporary attitude. Each painting breaks
down and repurposes material from disparate sources including film and vintage photographs, combining deconstruction with an impulse to create order out of chaos and weave tapestries
    from divergent threads.
    Paragraph 4:
-Explain whether the painting is Perceptual, Expressive, or Non-Objective, Realistic, etc
-Explain how you know this, or why you think this
I believe this painting is one of his most iconic works of art. Reflecting his ideas, and expressing a new form of contemporary paintings that accentuates color and lines …….. Continue
giving your opinion as a closing statement
    Paragraph 5:
Explain what you think the painting is about and why

    symptoms across 6 months?

  • “The Consequences of Memory Distortion on Eyewitness Testimony: A Case Study of Jennifer Thompson and Ronald Cotton”

Consider eyewitness testimony, a facet of the judicial system that relies on the soundness of memory for its effectiveness. The following story demonstrates the grave consequences inherent in certain kinds of memory distortion.
In the days following Jennifer Thompson’s 1984 rape by an unknown assailant, law enforcement officials presented her with a “photographic lineup.” It was composed of local individuals who loosely fit Thompson’s descriiption, including one man the police considered a likely suspect in the attack. Police and the prosecution relied on Thompson’s eyewitness testimony as a critical building block in the case against Ronald Cotton. Thompson’s memory-based selection of Cotton’s image eventually brought him to trial as a defendant.
Jennifer Thompson’s eyewitness testimony led to the conviction of Ronald Cotton for rape. Thompson described memorizing the details her attacker’s appearance that fateful night so that she might later help to catch him. Based on Thompson’s testimony, the prosecution won, and Cotton received a sentence of life plus 54 years in prison.
After serving nearly 11 years, Cotton was exonerated on the basis of DNA evidence. In the years since Cotton’s release from prison, he and Thompson have reconciled. They now travel together throughout the United States, speaking about the lack of reliability of eyewitness testimony in criminal cases. Unreliable eyewitness accounts of crimes serve as one example of memory distortion. Consider factors in the Cotton case that may have affected the accuracy of Thompson’s memory.
In this Discussion, you examine factors that might influence and create distortions of memory. You also explain potential consequences of memory distortion on eyewitness testimony.
    DICUSSION:
Post a brief descriiption of factors that might influence and create distortions of memory. Then explain how one of those factors might create a memory distortion. Provide an example to support your response. Finally, explain three consequences of memory distortion in the context of eyewitness testimony. Justify your response using the Learning Resources and current literature.
Be sure to support your postings and responses with specific references to the Learning Resources.
