“Revising for a Higher Grade: Improving a Presentation on Narrative Text Analysis” “Exploring the Power of Persuasion: An Analysis of Effective Presentations”
I had an order completed on this site a few weeks ago by someone, and received a grade of 43/50. I’ve attached the instructions I gave that person, and the presentation he created for me. Professor has given feedback to improve the grade. This is what he said :
I like the point that you made about limited perspective! Particularly in narratives that revolve around young people coming of age, limiting the perspective from which the story is told immerses the reader in the consciousness of the protagonists’ emerging sense of right and wrong, maturation, uneasy relationship to the adult world, etc. Here, of course, the limited perspective works to heighten the impact of the revelation of Harry’s special history.
It’s clear that your are passionate about this text and its portrayal of friendship in the face of overwhelming obstacles. I do think the presentation would have benefited from the model of critical apprecation that I discussed in the video. The more one is emotionally invested in a text, the more important it is to be willing to look at the text objectively – including taking into account its potential shortcomings. Perhaps because of your change in focus partway through this unit, I wasn’t able to give this feedback earlier.
I would also encourage you to think about how to ensure that you are consistently drawing the audience’s attention to specific scenes, passages, etc in your analysis. While I can tell that you are a keen reader of the books, the presentation actually doesn’t highlight or do deep dives into particular moments that might illustrate your broader points (e.g., the point about limited perspective). Note how holding up a particular paragraph or set of paragraphs might have lent further substance to your analysis in this regard.
Thank you for taking these points into consideration! I think you might consider revising this presentation for a potentially higher grade at the end of the semester, too.
The presentation the person made for me that received the 43/50 grade has been attached.
These were the original instructions I gave the person who made the presentation. Please be sure to watch the video by the professor.
Create a Google Slide presentation on a narrative text of your choice. It could be another text, or even a novel, film, or TV show that you enjoy. However, your presentation should include the following:
-Name and author of the work
-A particular investigative angle
-2 slides minimum on summary (paraphrase!) and cultural, historical, or biographical context.
-3-4 slides of analysis of 2-3 elements (setting? character? POV?), with specific examples from specific moments (can include video clips, highlighted parts of text, etc).
-1 slide on your personal reflections (why is this text meaningful to you personally? Be creative in your explanation!)
-Works cited page.
-As this is a research based presentation, you should rely on 3-4 sources, including the actual text.
-EITHER voiceover narration (7-10 mins) OR speaker notes that provide a detailed guide to the content of each slide. NOTE the difference between speaker notes and slide content: slide content should be bullet point based and visually friendly; speaker notes should include what you would say if you were explaining the slide in class. The speaker notes should be in complete sentences and paragraphs, unlike slide content.
NOTES
To fill in speaker notes, you’ll need to write your guide to the slide in the white textbox below the slide.
Your analysis should focus on elements like character, POV, and setting. If you are focusing on a TV show or movie, I would avoid getting sidetracked into discussion of cinematography or acting.
Grading breakdown:
60 points: slide content (is it informative? Efficient? Visually friendly? Well-formatted? Prioritizing interpretation over information? Hewing to assignment requirements? Well-researched?)
40 points: speaker notes OR voice over
Extra credit for quality/polish of presentation, creativity.
I encourage you to also take a look at the examples of previous students’ presentations as well for inspiration:
This LAST video I’ve added a link to below has an example of a presentation done by the professor himself, so you can see what he is expecting, what kind of analysis question you can use, etc. To join, use the nickname “Damanpreet” please. It has to be Damanpreet

“The Importance of Teaching Philosophy of Science to Future Scientists: A Call to Action for Scientific Education Reform” The Importance of Teaching Philosophy of Science to Future Scientists: A Call to Action for Scientific Education Reform Introduction In today’s society, science and
Content of your paper:
Imagine that you could ensure everyone on Earth learned about one of the topics in this class. What topic would you choose, and who would you want to learn about this topic?
Unfortunately, no one has the power to ensure everyone learns anything. But we all have the power to make arguments about what we think others should learn. That’s what you’ll be doing in this paper-trying to convince an authority figure why your topic should be learned by others beyond this class.
This will be an argumentative paper, where:
The argument is appropriately targeted: Your audience is the authority figure in charge of the people you’d want to learn about this topic. Feel free to be creative here-if you want everyone on Earth to learn about your topic, write to the President of Planet Earth. If you want all kids in elementary school to learn about this topic, write to the Board of Global Elementary Education, etc.
The topic is accurately/clearly described and outlined in your own words: You have identified a topic clearly, described the relevant philosophical questions connected to the topic, cited the particular authors that you would want to be taught, and analyzed how they differ in answering the relevant philosophical questions.
The impact that learning this topic would have on our world is convincingly described: While you are certainly welcome to argue that everyone on Earth should learn about your topic, you are also welcome to focus on one part of the population that you think should learn about this topic (e.g., “future scientists,” “everyone on Earth,” “kids in elementary school,” “future psychologists”–whoever!). Once you’ve identified the population that you want to focus on, you should then convincingly describe why this population should learn about your topic. In other words, how would this impact our world for the better? Would it improve scientific practice? Would it positively affect the people who learn about your topic?
You convey to your audience what you think the value of philosophy of science is: In this section, you may refer to any of the Learning Materials or any other sources you’d like, but there should be original argumentation offered here.
You propose one recommendation related to educating others about your topic (and perhaps bridging a gap between philosophy and science): You may refer to the recommendations listed in the Laplane et al. article, but your recommendation should an be original one. Then, defend that recommendation. Do you think it will ensure the positive impacts you described above if it is implemented? Does it fall short of having those impacts?
Editing and revising your paper:
Your paper must be written in Standard English, in a professional tone. The paper should be free from spelling and grammatical errors, and points may be deducted for a significant number of these errors.
I am not looking for a summary of the texts we’ve explored or a summary of literature beyond what you have engaged with in this class. However, in your paper, you should be critically engaging with multiple learning materials from our class.
I expect in-text citations throughout the paper and a bibliography at the end. Remember that citations aren’t just for direct quotes. If you’ve just articulated someone’s position, explained an example they use, etc., you should include a citation. I don’t care which format style you use (APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.), just pick one and be consistent.
Formatting:
Font size: 10-12
Font: Something legible
Spacing: Double-spaced
Citations: In-text citations & bibliography
Length: 600 words
Plagiarism Policy: This paper will be submitted to TurnItIn and remember that any work produced by ChatGPT should be included in the bibliography. If you have any questions about this policy, please email me/refer to the syllabus. -
“Exploring the Potential of Lithium-Ion Batteries in Electrified Vehicles and Renewable Energy: A Focus on Nigeria’s Future”
I have since childhood love innovation especially in the energy and power industries. i’m from nigeria and want my research to benefit my country. I took Electrical and Electronics Engineering as my major. During these five years, I enrolled in some electrical power systems courses, I had straight “A” in my core electrical power courses. I volunteered as a tutor to teach my college peers some recondite electrical engineering courses such as: electrical power and principles, electrical power system analysis, power system protection and control, electrical machine and power system communication and control, i have over 15years teaching experience. In my undergraduate and masters degree, I carried out my research on the influence of rest periods on the lifetime of lithium-ion cells I used the commercially available cell lithium nickel manganese cobalt-dioxide (NMC)/
lithium cobalt-dioxide (LCO) blend and lithium iron phosphate (LFP) as cathode material and graphite
as anode material. Multichannel test system was used to determine the aging of the battery. l did electrical parameter tests to test the capacityand electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) to ascertain the electrochemical process about corresponding time constants and impedances, It can be concluded from this research that the mechanism of the cathode material and changes in the internal cell impedance, electrolyte, are the major contributing factors in the relaxation time. From my undergraduate degree experience, I want to now focus my postgraduate research on the prospects of lithium ion battery in different application with focus on Electrified vehicles and renewabe energy which is the vision of automobile industry. -

the focus is on the delivery system rather than specific services and treatments. Behavioral health impacts the health care delivery system as 20% of the population globally have a diagnosis of a mental or behavioral health condition. The focus of this assignment is not on a specific diagnosis but rather the health condition’s impact on the system. The financing for behavioral health care services is different than with physical health and has higher burden of disease related to premature mortality (DALY). You have some of the components in terms of stigma, cultural factors impact access to care. Listed below are references which may be useful.

“Logo Analysis and Recommendations for a Consolidated Restaurant Brand”
Scenario
You work for a marketing organization that has taken on a new client. The new client is a holding company for numerous chain restaurant brands. This client has recently decided to consolidate three of its similar existing offerings into one brand to create efficiencies. It wants to take the things that three restaurants do best and combine them into one brand.
The client wants to apply the same approach to its visual communications for the brand. Your task is to distinguish the most effective visual elements of the existing restaurants’ logo graphics and suggest how they might be able to be remixed into a new logo.
Remember, this is NOT about which restaurants you like best. This is about dissecting the logo graphics for the restaurants based on what you learned in this module.
Instructions
Choose three (3) chain restaurant logos from the United States and download their logos from the web.
The restaurants must be the same type of cuisine (e.g., American, Italian, Mexican, Thai, Chinese, etc.).
The restaurants may be regional or national chains.
Download the logo graphics.
Insert the three (3) restaurant logo graphics into a Microsoft Word document.
Compare and contrast these logos addressing the following:
Logo symbols/symbolism
Depending on your chosen restaurants, you may need to briefly research their history to understand the symbolism in their logos.
Logo color scheme
You may need to consider the competition to understand why a certain restaurant uses certain colors.
Logo font style
What kind of messaging does the font style communicate? How can you tell?
Your final report should be 2–3 pages in length and follow proper APA writing guidelines. It must include research from three (3) or more sources with proper APA formatting for reference and in-text citations. -

Title: Economic Challenges and Hitler’s Consolidation of Power in Post-War Germany
Research Topic:
What specific economic challenges
did post-war economic instability and the Great Depression present to Germany,
and how did Adolf Hitler strategically leverage these conditions to consolidate
power through policies such as rearmament, public works programs, and
propaganda?
Instructions
For
this assignment, you will create a single document including three sections.
Section
1: Primary Source Notes
Choosing
what you now believe are your two most critical piece of primary
evidence, write a note on it. This
includes the four main components listed above (subject, location, summary, and
analysis). Make sure you include enough information to write a Turabian
citation and indicate somehow if this is a quotation or paraphrase. Also be
sure to include your analysis of the source, which is an explanation of why you
took the note in the first place.
Section
2: Secondary Source Note
Choose
two important scholarly source for your argument. Provide the four critical components but also
focus upon why you chose this source and how it supports your main thesis or
argument of the paper. Explain why the scholar producing the source is a
credible authority on this subject.
Section
3: Outline of a Paragraph or Section Using The Sources Above
This
is not an outline for your paper. Rather
it is an outline about one aspect of the argument you make to answer your
research question. It might be an
outline of one paragraph, a section, or one potential page of your paper
showing the relationship between the information found in the sources above to
the overall argument of your research project. The outline should include:
·
Topic
sentence or argument
·
List
of the key subpoints
·
List
of the main primary and secondary evidence used to support it
·
Analysis
of how the evidence supports the subpoints that should then support the key
argument for the paragraph, page, or section.
Thus
you will list, summarize, and analyze primary and secondary sources pertaining
to your chosen research topic.
Note:
Your assignment will be checked for originality via the Turnitin plagiarism
tool.
I will post an example of what the assignment should look like below.
