  • “Identification of Unknown Bacteria: Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa”

I received two unknown bacteria and had to perform many tests to determine which bacteria they were. My unknown #34 was Staphylococcus aureus which was gram-positive cocci and my unknown #1403 was Pseudomonas aeruginosa which was gram-negative bacillus. To start we had to perform a gram stain of both unknown bacteria to see if it was positive or negative, then for my gram-positive which was coccus, I performed a glucose, lactose, and nitrate test which all were positive. The cellular arrangement on my original culture tubes was irregular clusters and the TSA was pale to yellowish. My gram negative was bacillus so I performed a lactose test which came back negative. Then I performed a GLucode, NItrate, gelatin, sucrose, and mannitol plate test. The nitrate came back double positive and gelatin came back positive. Glucose, sucrose, and the mannitol plate were negative. which led me to the bacteria being pseudomonas aeruginosa. I will attach a picture of a lab report and how it should be written for reference.

  • “Integrating Learning into Action: A Business Marketing Plan for KPMG and Reflective Summary” Reflecting on My Learning Journey in B2B Marketing: Contributions, Discussions, and Insights

I chose the company KPMG for my study.
    Introduction
Congratulations on all your hard work that brought you to the final assignment of this course. So far, the activities and assignments have challenged you to analyze some key concepts and to apply them to marketing selected product(s) for your chosen company.
In this final assignment, you will demonstrate your ability to integrate your learning from all aspects of the course and to draw conclusions.
You will now finalize your business marketing plan and provide a reflective summary of your learning through your reading, participation in discussions, and personal reflections.
There are two parts to Assignment 4:
Part A: Business Marketing Plan (5% of your final mark)
Part B: Reflective Summary (4% of your final mark)
Each part is marked out of 50 marks, totalling 100 marks. This whole assignment counts for 9 per cent of your final grade in the course.
In Assignments 1 through 3, you have already completed and submitted the first four sections of your business marketing plan to your online faculty member, who has graded them and provided feedback to you. In the first part of Assignment 4, you will organize your information into a complete business marketing plan by first editing and combining your work from sections 1 through 3, then completing and adding the remaining section 4. The five sections of your completed marketing plan should be organized according to the business marketing plan outline provided below. Remember that you must use APA style.
In Part B, the Reflective Summary, you will provide a summary of your learning and growth from the modules and discussion activities you engaged in throughout the course. Remember that you must specifically discuss a minimum of four discussion and/or reflective activities that you completed.
    Instructions
Part I: Business Marketing Plan (50 marks total)
Now it’s time to pull all of the pieces of your business marketing plan together. You will be using Assignments 1–3 (with improvements your Open Learning Faculty Member may have suggested) to integrate the following sections of your business marketing plan. You will not be graded again on work that you were asked to complete in the first three assignments, but you will be graded on the executive summary (10 marks) and marketing plan implementation (40 marks). Use the following outline to help you organize your final plan.
Outline of a Business to Business Marketing Plan
    Executive Summary [Assignment 4]
    Introduction [Assignment 1]
Opportunity Identification and Marketing Strategy Development [Assignment 1]
Consumer Behaviour and Purchasing Process Analysis [Assignment 1]
Marketing Mix Strategies [Assignments 2 and 3]
    Brand strategy (Assignment 2)
    Product strategy [Assignment 2]
    Channel strategy [Assignment 2]
    Segmentation strategy (Assignment 3)
    Communication strategy [Assignment 3]
    Pricing strategy [Assignment 3]
    Marketing Plan Implementation [Assignment 4]
    References [All assignments]
    Appendices [If applicable]
    Executive Summary (10 marks)
Provide a 1- to 2-page formal introduction to your business marketing plan. The purpose is to summarize the key findings of your report and to articulate what you want the reader to conclude after reading the rest of your plan. It is recommended that you prepare this section last, after finalizing all the other sections of your plan.
    Marketing Plan Implementation (40 marks)
Write a 4- to 6-page double-spaced report, discussing how you would implement your marketing strategy in your chosen company and control the implementation process. Discuss how you would:
    Measure performance.
Analyze causes for high or low performance.
Develop methods to improve the performance in a continuous way.
Part II: Reflective Summary (50 marks)
The reflective summary requires you to look back at your activities and discussions and to reflect on your learning experience. Consider the following reflective questions:
Which of the Reflection activities did you find contributed most to your learning? Why? (Remember, you must specifically discuss at least four activities that you engaged in.)
Did you engage in discussions with other learners, and did the contributions of other learners influence you and help enrich your knowledge of B2B marketing?
Did you agree with everything others posted to the online discussions?
Did the ideas and information presented in the readings significantly influence your understanding of B2B marketing?
Did your ideas and views shift as you progressed through the course?
Write 4- to 5-pages (double-spaced, approximately 1,000 words) reviewing your contribution to the discussions and other activities. Include the above reflective questions and what you have learned from them. Document your best contribution to the discussions and describe briefly what you have learned from the postings of other learners. Include highlights from other activities and from the course in general.
    References
You must reference all ideas or findings that are not original to you. References must be provided for both paraphrasing and quoting. Paraphrasing is taking the ideas or findings of another writer or researcher and putting them into your own words. Like quotations, paraphrased ideas must be acknowledged; otherwise, you appear to be claiming that the idea is your own. Quoting is using the exact words of a writer.
This course uses American Psychological Association (APA) citation style; the TRU Library provides excellent guides on how to write APA citations and references.

  • “Reforming the Class Action: Proposals for Congressional Legislation to Address Challenges and Improve Effectiveness”

Nature of assignment: The Module 11 lecture and readings focused on the class action as a key device for mass litigation.
As explained in the lecture and readings, several developments have combined to undermine the class action: (a) Congress passed a law, the Class Action Fairness Act, that pushed most class actions from state to federal court, (b) the Supreme Court, particularly in the Wal-Mart case, made it more difficult to certify a class action in federal court, and (c) the Court has repeatedly enforced arbitration clauses even if they contain explicit or implicit waivers of class actions.
Imagine that you work for a member of Congress who is considering legislative changes to the class action as a litigation device. The member of Congress has asked you to write a brief memo outlining one or more proposals that you would make to reform the class action via congressional legislation. Write a memo of between five and seven double-spaced pages. In your memo, you should do the following things.
First, explain what you see as a key problem or problems with the role of the class action in modern civil litigation. In doing so, make sure you explain how class actions differ from ordinary civil litigation, and create additional challenges.
Second, describe one or more proposals for reform or change to the class action as a litigation device, which could be embodied in a new law passed by Congress.
Third, explain why your proposal or proposals would be an improvement over the status quo.
As with the first assignment (on discovery), you are free to write a memo covering only one proposed reform, or you may write about more than one proposal. However, I highly recommend that you do not spread yourself too thin by trying to write about too many topics. An approach that tries to cover too much ground will likely receive a lower grade because it will be unable to fully explain and defend the changes that are being proposed.
In writing your memo, you are free to consult any outside material you wish, as well as any of the required or optional readings. The organization and clarity of your writing will also affect your grade.

  • “Building a Strong Foundation for Reading: Understanding the Science of Reading, Scarborough’s Reading Rope, and Levels of Phonological Awareness”

Reading Toolkit Part 1: Phonological Awareness
Regardless of grade level or content area, all teachers encounter students who experience various reading difficulties that can impede classroom success. Knowledge of the Science of Reading and Scarborough’s Reading Rope is critical to the reading process. Understanding levels of phonological awareness and how to foster these skills early in the reading process and recognize gaps in these areas for students in all grades can help teachers identify and address student reading challenges in the classroom.
Throughout Topics 1-4 you will be creating a Reading Toolkit that will include practical resources that can be shared with parents/guardians and colleagues and can also be used to improve your professional practice related to literacy and language development. You may use the tool of your choice to create a digital deliverable such as a website, bookmarked document, or brochure. You will add various pieces of content to the toolkit in the Topics 1-4 assignments.
    Part 1: Glossary
Create a glossary of terms related to language and literacy development. Include the term, its definition, and a related illustration or graphic when appropriate. You will add to the “Glossary” section of the toolkit in Topics 2-4.
Define the terms below and add them to the “Glossary” section of the toolkit:
    Science of Reading
    Scarborough’s Reading Rope
    Phonics
    Phonological awareness
Part 2: Levels of Phonological Awareness
Using the topic Resources and your own research, create a chart, flow chart, or infographic that focuses on the levels of phonological awareness and the age/grade range where students typically demonstrate the milestone skills. For each level, address the following:
Name and brief explanation of the level
Examples that illustrate the milestone skills typically exhibited at that level
Age/grade range where students typically demonstrate the milestone skills
Indicators that a student may be struggling with this level
Assessments that can be used to determine whether a student is working toward meeting the milestone skills
Add the chart, flow chart, or infographic to your Reading Toolkit.
In a 250-500 word reflection, discuss the following:
Why it is important for special education teachers to have a thorough understanding of the Science of Reading, Scarborough’s Reading Rope, and the levels of phonological awareness, even though direct reading instruction may not be your primary support role?
How this knowledge can help teachers meet the needs of all readers in their classrooms.
Support your ideas with research-based evidence and examples from your own professional experience.
Support the assignment with 3-5 scholarly resources.
Submit your chart/flow chart/infographic, supporting resources, and reflection in a single document. Include a link to your Reading Toolkit.
