“Uncovering the Truth: An Evaluation of Suspects in the Unsolved Murder of JonBenet Ramsey”

For this research paper, you are looking into the unsolved murder of Jon Benet Ramsey. Because this is a longer paper, you want at least three, but probably four suspects/theories. Searching for the evidence to find the truth. Then argue your case through your essay.

Purpose:  to evaluate the most common suspects in order 
to select the most logical explanation.
Notes:
Each suspect must be evaluated on the same criteria.
Set up the criteria in order of importance.
Set up the suspects in order of importance (most likely is last).
Criteria:
What are some of things an investigator or lawyer would look at to rule in or out a suspect?
Means
Motive
Opportunity
Logical
Introduction:
Why is this subject so intriguing?
Basic facts of the murder or mystery
Aspects all agree upon
Criteria to be used in this evaluation.
Thesis: most likely suspects/theories.
Optional Paragraph that describes the murder(s) basic 
facts
Body Paragraphs for Each Suspect:
Topic sentence identifies the suspect/theory to be evaluated.
Lay out the evidence provided to support it by its proponents.
Evaluate the theory using the criteria you established earlier.
Note: Sometimes you can do all of this in one paragraph; however, often the evaluation will need to be in a separate paragraph.
Conclusion:
Who is the most likely suspect? Why?
Note: It is okay to say there is not enough evidence to draw a conclusion at this time, but 
then you have to explain why.
