STUDENT IDEOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVE ESSAY
For this assignment, students will be writing a detailed essay on their own ideological views.  First, what ideological perspective do they fit most closely (Liberalism, Conservativism, Libertarianism, Statism, Democratic Socialism, Fascism, Anarchism, or Communism)?  Students need to analyze their views on several Social Issues and Economic issues to demonstrate they understand what that ideology supports or opposes.  Next, they will discuss who has been the biggest influence in their lives in shaping their ideological perspective and why.  Finally, they also need to discuss how their views on specific issues (or even their entire ideological perspective) have changed over time and why.  This essay assignment needs to be 2-pages typed and double-spaced in length.
