Title: The Role of IELTS in Supporting International Students’ Transition to UK Higher Education Institutions: A Critical Examination through the Lens of the CEFR

The research question is: 
“To what extent do current language assessments that follow the CEFR support international students’ transition to study at UK HEI’s as measured by academic performance.”
The proposal should relate to the proposal question, the language framework is the CEFR, but the language assessment used is IELTS.
