Select an artwork from Abstract Expressionism or Pop Art (the two styles which we discussed in detail in Case 4) that catches your eye. However, it can be any work created after WWII that you feel passionate about. Exclude those pieces that are featured in our Case 4 assignment (Pollock’s One: Number 31 and Warhol’s Campbell’s Soup Cans).
Write a 2- to 3-page paper discussing how the work of your choice reflects the typical values and characteristics of its era and style. Please also include information about the era and style, description of the artwork, and some biographical information about the artist.
Prepare a 2- to 3-page paper using the following guidelines:
Apply ideas from the background materials.
Include a cover page with your name and a reference page that lists your sources. These are not included in the total page count.
Do not include images.
The paper should be double-spaced with one-inch margins and 12-point font.
