After speaking with the nurse manager, I found out that there have been 8 nurses within the last year that resigned or transferred to another department, and stated their reasoning was due to feeling overwhelmed, and had a poor work life balance )

My long-term outcome is that there will be at least a 50% decrease in nurse burnout on my unit within 6 months which in turn will enhance the nursing staff’s overall wellness and promote a positive work environment  )
