Essay prompt: Many works of literature feature a character who changes or disrupts the existing state of societal, familial, or political affairs in the text. They may break social norms, challenge long-held values or subvert expectations. The character’s motivation for this behavior is often complex. Using our novel, pick one of the three characters from the chart to think about their individual perspective and motive for acting the way that they do. Then, in a well-written essay, analyze how the complex motivation of the individual contributes to an interpretation of the work as a whole.
This is the thesis I did for it: In the novel The Kite Runner by Khaled Husseni, the author uses Amir’s relationship with Soraya, his guilty conscience, and his Afghan culture to show why one goes against societal norms, even if it could result in hardship, to do what their morals consider correct.
You can change the thesis a little to make it fit more with what you are writing, but I want this to be the base concept of the essay.
The requirements of the essay are:
The introduction paragraph has to be composed of a Hook, Background, and the thesis statement
Body paragraphs have to be composed of Main Idea, Evidence (quote) 1, Analysis (of said quote) 1, Evidence 2, Analysis 2, and Link (wrap up of the paragraph with how the 2 evidences provided prove the main idea).
Conclusion paragraph format is further explained in the graphic organizer I provided.
There’s supposed to be 3 body paragraphs with at least 15 sentences per paragraph. Introduction and Conclusion has to be 7–10 sentences each.
If the essay turns out to need more than the pages I paid for, just tell me and I can pay extra just so the essay is not cut short from the requirements. I need you to be original and to not sound so professional (meaning that your writing has to be natural, like the one from a senior in High school, but without getting to be informal), and please don’t use AI. I would appreciate it if you could read the first 15 chapters of the book, but if it’s too much you can read summaries of said chapters just so you are well-informed on what you’re writing about. I provided a graphic organizer for the essay that you can use to guide yourself. But please follow the instructions and requirements I wrote here. If you have any questions, you can send me a message at any time.
I also added a PDF with the whole book, just in case.
