Position: I am against the foster care system in its current form because, despite its intended purpose of providing temporary care for children in need, it often falls short in ensuring the well-being and stability of these vulnerable individuals. Many children experience multiple placements, disrupting their sense of security and belonging and increasing the likelihood of trauma and instability, I know this from experience as I am a foster kid.
