“Exploring Interpersonal Communication in Powerbook: Raising Kanan”

I Chose the TV show called Powerbook: Called Raising Kanan
For this paper, you will apply meaningful interpersonal communication concepts from chapters 9, 10, 11 or 12 (Conflict) ONLY that you observe in the movie, show, etc. Make sure that you fully understand the concepts before you apply them. Do not choose abstract concepts such as “love.” Use more concrete terms such as “bonding,” “matching hypothesis”, “escapist strategies”, etc. The purpose of this assignment is for you to apply the concepts we have learned about in class to a “real-life” context. Although we are using media for this assignment, you should be able to relate on some level to what you observe. I also need to see that you have demonstrated a deep understanding of the material. To repeat, the goal is to evaluate one or multiple interpersonal relationships and the different interpersonal communication concepts that are demonstrated within them.
