Dear [Friend/Family Member], I hope this letter finds you well. I wanted to take some time to share with you some concepts and topics that I recently learned about and found incredibly eye-opening. I believe these are important for everyone to know

Write an informal letter to a friend or family member telling them about what you 
learned and why they should learn about it too.
There will be 3 concepts/topics discussed. 
-Intersexism (“fivesexesprnt” document)
-Privilage (“WhitePrivilege” document)
-Controlling images (“collins” document)
1. BE THE TEACHER
~Explain the concepts/topics to your addressee. Refer to the text to assist in your 
explanation.
2.WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU
~Tell your addressee why the concepts/topics were meaningful or memorable to 
you. For example, you can tell them how it transformed or challenged your 
perspective on an issue, or how it was relatable to you on a personal level.
3.WHY IT SHOULD BE IMPORTANT TO THEM
~Tell your addressee why they should know about your selected concepts/topics.
Additional instructions 
~Letter should include a salutation and closing
~This is an informal letter; you don’t have to include “proper” citation formatting or a Works 
Cited page.
~Letter must be 800 words
