“The Impact of Minimum Wage on Small Businesses”

We are composing a researched argument essay (about 2 pages) about minimum wage. Your job is to identify an issue associated with minimum wage and make one clear point that is supported by information from your sources. In the end, a researched argument is your opinion supported by information from credible sources.
Introduction
You can use the intro you composed in drafting assignment #1. The intro aims to emphasize why the topic is important, supply background information (cited), and lead to the thesis. Your intro should be 1/2 to 3/4 page in length.
Thesis: Use the thesis you composed in drafting assignment #1.  Your thesis is the ONE idea you want to convey to your reader.  For our assignment, we want to place the thesis at the end of the intro. We want a one-sentence thesis.
Body Paragraph
Your essay will feature one body paragraph that works as support for your thesis. You can use the body paragraph you composed in drafting assignment #2.
Be sure to begin with a topic sentence that relates back to your thesis.
You must use at least two of your sources in your body paragraph.
Feature paraphrasing and cite using a signal phrase or a parentheticalLinks to an external site.
Your body paragraph should be about 3/4 to 1 page.
Conclusion
Compose a one-paragraph conclusion to your essay. Consider finishing the story you began in the introduction or using one of the ideas from the conclusion you composed in drafting assignment #3.
I DO NOT want a summary in the conclusion. Restate the thesis, if you must, but a conclusion can do more than summarize and I promise I will remember what was written a few paragraphs earlier.
Your conclusion should be about 1/2 a page.
Works Cited Page
Compose an entry for each source used in your essay. Your works cited page should include two sources.
