This
study addresses the need for a deeper understanding of how employees in
non-profit government agencies perceive the value of SMART goals within the
performance appraisal process. The focus is twofold:
1. Investigating
employee perceptions: This research aims to explore how employees view the
usefulness, effectiveness, and overall contribution of SMART goals to their
performance evaluation and development within their organization.
2. Exploring
the influence of demographic factors: The study further seeks to examine
whether education level (ranging from 8th grade to PhD) and job position
influence employee perceptions of SMART goals.
