Instructions
Work in mixed media. Use basic art materials and explore. Graphite pencils and sticks of different grades, conté crayons, pastels, coloring pencils, markers, watercolor, gouache and acrylic paints (if you want to use paints–not required..), ink, found objects to make marks with, various collage papers (art, decorative, magazine, tissue papers, tracing paper, etc.)
Be sure to read Chapter 2: Form as you work on this project as your goal is to create an asymmetrical balance using all five art elements.
Your Bristol paper provides a good backing for your basic mixed media processes. Show each step of the project.
The Canvas Student Guide provides instructions for submitting an online Assignment. (You can submit an image file, such as a jpeg, png, gif or a pdf. Most students take a picture with their smartphone and submit however, be aware that the smart phones do not always upload the image with the right orientation. You may need to edit the image in your phone’s camera to select the correct orientation or upload onto your computer first, save then upload from your computer.
