The practical portfolio is an exercise in creative writing. For this assignment, create a short story (1-3 pages of text), a poem (1-2 pages of text), and a brief play with a minimum of 1 act and 1 scene (1-3 pages of text). Use Times New Roman font and double spacing for the short story and the play. Your poem does not need to be double-spaced. Take creative freedom with your spacing for the poem. You can write about anything you want for each creative exercise. Use correct grammar and spelling unless you are trying to deliberately show dialect in your text.
Your story, poem, and play should each have a clearly labeled title, center-aligned above the first sentence of each exercise. Upload your portfolio as a single Word doc file.
