“Emerging Threats: Investigating a Disease or Health Issue with Potential Impact on Public Health”

The purpose of this assignment is to develop an in-depth understanding of one of the many of the diseases and health issues that you may encounter as a public health professional (e.g. infectious disease, vaccine resistance, CVD, diabetes, syphilis, asthma, avian influenza, fungal infections, polio, measles, etc).  
You will research one disease/health issue (other than COVID) that has the potential to impact the health and longevity of the population (US or World) in the future.
