Please write your outline and essay on this document: Constructed Response #3-3.docx
This assignment addresses an STR sample exam question. For this response, you will consider a student’s needs in both Word Recognition (RDNG 351 elements) and Language Comprehension (RDNG 373 elements). Carefully read the General Directions and Sample Assignment, then study the 4 Exhibits. Note how the information is compiled in the two Sample Responses and Rationales at the bottom of the page. Your essay must consider different needs and must suggest different strategies than those presented in the sample essays. PLEASE NOTE: I strongly encourage you NOT to read the sample essays until after you have completed your outline.
The sample question may be found here: Preparation Manual (nesinc.com)Links to an external site. https://www.tx.nesinc.com/Content/StudyGuide/TX_SG_CRI_293.htm
You will write your own response by following this structure:

Paragraph 2: Describe one appropriate, effective instructional strategy or activity that would address the student’s need related to Word Recognition and help the student achieve relevant grade-level standards. Use an approach from TRS or Reading Rockets. (how)
Paragraph 3: Identify one significant need that the student demonstrates related to Language Comprehension and cite specific evidence from the relevant exhibits to support your analysis (what)
Paragraph 4: Describe one appropriate, effective instructional strategy or activity that would address the need you identified related to the student’s reading comprehension and help the student achieve relevant grade-level standards. Use an approach from TRS or Reading Rockets. (how)
Paragraph 5: Summarize and explain why each of the instructional strategies or activities you described would be effective in addressing the needs you identified and in helping the student achieve grade-level reading standards as described in the TEKS for ELAR.
Follow the paragraph structure we discussed in CR #2. Each paragraph should be 5-6 sentences that total ~125 words each. Every word should tell something important, every sentence should contain no unnecessary words, and every paragraph should contain no unnecessary or irrelevant sentences.
